Hey all.

Does anyone know the time taken for this program? How long does it take to get the CSQ and so on? How many applicants do they accept each time?

Thanks :)

Hey all.

Time taken depends on the category of the program. First you have to get CSQ, the timelines for CSQ are below.
PEQ - fastest maybe a month ? ( French B2 required + study in Quebec or Work in Quebec ) No quota, can apply anytime
Regular QSW ( should work in Quebec ) No quota, can apply anytime ( usually takes 6 months + )
Outside Quebec & Canada , 5000 quota, opens from time to time.
Outside Quebec and inside Canada - I really dont know how that works.

Once you get CSQ, apply Federal for PR.
Time taken at federal stage via CSQ currently is 14 months as per CIC website. Doesn't matter if you get CSQ thru PEQ or not. Federal takes 14 months currently.

So a temporary worker in Quebec in Regular QSW category (not PEQ) will be taking a minimum of 20 months to get PR according to current statistical data from this forum and trackers.

Piece of advice for those who wants to work in Quebec. Unless you are proficient in French or in IT, your chances of finding a good paying white collar job are bleak and the PR process thru CSQ is very long and bureaucratic .

You will be better off working in other provinces and applying PR from there.

Can French be the studies one takes in Canada to get PR? I know French at an intermediate level and am wondering if it would be a good idea practicing and learning it towards getting a PR? Is there a minimum time requirement towards the course?
