Quebec immigration-Need Urgent Help

I am in process of sending my application for CSQ in Paris. I was reading and saw that i need to sumbit certify true copy of diploma and sworn copy of residence permit. Now i don't know whether i can send copies or really need what is asked like certified true copy of each document asked. What if i send original copy of my diploma and degree, will Paris office return me the original after or do they keep them.

Also am on dependant visa in UK and my visa run out in May, but am planning to send my visa for renewal by end of April. However am planning to send my CSQ application by end of MArch. Can i still send the CSQ application and once i receive letter of UKBA i send this to Paris offce as proof that my visa is sent for renewal.

Please help.

You can ask the institute which issued ur diploma certificate to provide you certified true copies. If this is not possible, you can go to any public notary and he will do it for you after varifying the originals. What if i send original copy of my diploma and degree, will Paris office return me the original after or do they keep them. Generally, it is not advisable to send the original at the time of sending application. now, you should send notarized copoie/certified true copies and then You can show the originals at time of interview.

I m not sure about this, but you can send application with the copies of passport-visa now and later on update them once the renewal is done.

Many thanks for the quick response. Do you think i can file the application myself or advisable to go through a lawyer?
I do not find the form difficult to fill only the copies that need to send together am not very sure. However i have found the guidelines which form to send original and whoch one copies etc

Hi naf,
I did it on my own and u will find many applicants on this forum helping each other to do it without the help of a consultant..
my opinion is that there is no need for consultant. Process is very straight-forward and BIQ website has all the info reqd for submitting application.
For any other query, you can get help from the forum members 24x7, whereas consultants works during their office timings and you need to spend ur time and money after them.

Thanks. One more thing. My country of origin is Mauritius however i currently reside in UK. I am not sure where to send my application. It says from Nov 2011, resident of london should send their application to SN Canada. However since i still hold a mauritian nationality, do i have to send my CSQ to Paris as Paris covers Mauritius as well.

Also, Mauritians do not have to submit any language test when sending application since we speak both french and English. I was thinking since i live in uk for nearly 5 year, do i have to sumbit a French Language test with my CSQ. I did asked an immigration lawyer and they told me Mauritian peple do not fall in category who have to submit the test certificate with they aplication.

You can submit ur application to any of the biq of ur country of residence or country of citizenship.

pls check website of your biq for the latest changes. earlier this provision may be there, but from 6th dec 2011, it is mandatory for any applicant to submit results of language exams if he wants to claim points for language proficiency.
