I have the same situation as you do, and i 've been enrolling in french class for last 4 months and been registerd for DELF A1 and A2 test next month. i suggest you to take DELF test, it's relatively easy and it's much much cheaper than TEFaq, for example. And also DELF result is faster to be released than TEFaq
Well if u r getting 63 points then you are eligible to apply take Delf a1 with reference to Campbell Cohen website with adabtibilty factor you have to score 63 plus I will reckon you to take Delf test its easier and cheaper where as TCF and TEfq is expensive and it's bit advance
