For FBI clearance, where can we get the fingerprinting done? I went to my local police dept, and they said that they dont do fingerprinting anymore for FBI clearance. Anyone else in the same situation?

Wowwwww... I was expecting to get an interview and CSQ 1 year after I mailed my application, but I guess it makes sense that it would happen 1 year after AOR which would be January-ish 2012 for me!

This is my first post. I sent my application to the Montreal Office on July 7, 2011, and would like to share my experience with everyone. So far I don't have much to say but I will be back with updates each time I hear from the immigration office.

In the meantime, can everyone tell us about the shortest processing time they have heard of? I think that would help a lot of us .

Hello Speednab,

I think our profiles our quite similar. I have just completed an MBA in the US and I am fluent in French.
I am a little bit surprised that it's taking you more than a year to get through the whole process. I was hoping I could be done within 4 to 6 months, but now that I have read a couple of your posts, I think I need to trim my expectations down a bit.

Can anyone tell us what makes an application go faster/slower other than the workload at the immigration office? I've read some posts talking about priority applications.. can anyone tell us what priority application means?

I applied for CSQ in November 2010 and my application was returned to me in february 2011 because the payment that made was not conform. I sent it back in february and I receive my Aor in March 2011 since then I havent heard anything from MICC montreal. I called them in May 2011 to see the status of my application, they told me that they processing June 2010 application.
Now, I dont know how long it take to get CSQ?

File was open in October 2009 due to a credit card mishap.
AOR received - November 2009
'Application complete' letter - February 2010
Received CSQ in the mail - March 2010

Hope most of us will get through in 8 months too

Date of the AOR: May 3oth 2011
My french is perfect and have 2 years experience in purchasing.
