Thought I’d share my experience.

I applied in January 2010 and received a confirmation in March. I was called for an interview in September but was unable to attend as I had just relocated from the UK to the DR Congo and as result my case was transferred.

Here is the tricky bit: The UK is served by the Paris office and DR Congo is also served by the Paris office but in any case they a transfer in terms of the change in location.

Since September i have been waiting to be called for an other interview and i guess the problem is that there are not many missions scheduled for Africa and one doesn’t necessarily know in which African country the missions will take place. They say i am the waiting list but who knows how long until they have missions in Africa

If anyone has any type input that could shed light on to the in workings of the Quebec procedures and timeline in particular with African countries and missions in the continent?

They are interview missions who visit BIQ in different territories for interview of Quebec immigration applicants in different time of the year.

Here is my guess but this could be wrong.
Australia, New Zealand and federal canada normally have "immigrant recruitment missions" in various cities including london and new york. In these events, people wishing to immigrate attend and are given more information, calculate their points etc and the immigration program gains popularity.

Maybe thats wat its referring to...

There are not different from selection interviews, they call the this missions for selection interviews and this also serve as information point where they advertise their immigration programme.

That means they don't have it for Asia now. Am I right? how long shall we wait to be called for interview? This waiting kills:-(

the only thing is that we have to wait for people in AUG to know what the next step but for me and you we are OCT so maybe march or may.

@peso I went through the link and found out that is for comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec , so i think that has any relation with the CSQ processing times.

But i think it is not updated for almost 4 months now.

as you can see from the link they said that the time frame for people who have applied at does time and you can see they have been calling people from AUG and SEP so the date will come for people like me and you for OCT.
