We received the sponsorship approval letter today and request to submit forms to MICC for application of undertaking to Quebec.
I went to the English section of the website (English is my first language) and downloaded the application kit. The forms are all in English.
On the document checklist, it says "two copies of the Undertaking application form -- Family class (A-0546-GF) duly completed in French and signed."

"in French" is in BOLD!

What is this about? Must we fill out this form in French? What about the other forms (it doesn't say that they must be in French)? It is bizarre to fill out this form in French because the questions on the form itself are in English. I could do it in French but I would not be very confident that I am doing it correctly. So I would prefer English. However, I don't want to make a mistake and do it wrong. They seem pretty serious. Anyone know?

Merci beaucoup!! :)

if you actually look closely it will say that the forms are only in english as a guide to fill them out in french, and the french forms are later on in the pile.

When my husband filled out our forms for Quebec, he did the forms in French! All I had to do was just signed if I could remember correctly. The forms for MICC is for QUEBEC immigration to issue you a certificate of selection because they continue processing your PR application!

no problem, I see that you're only a few days later in the application process than me! Though it seems like it took longer for your 'decision made' than mine did. I keep internally bitching because I see all the non-quebec posts from March getting approved and sent to buffalo in April and all the Quebec ones didn't get sent to Quebec until May.

here's to hoping they pick up the speed!

I know, I feel the same way!
I think my decision made took longer than yours because I overpaid the fees. I read somewhere that you could pay a $50 permanent resident card fee that comes at the very end in advance and ultimately save time. Well, that was wrong because they issued me a refund check for $50. I happen to know that they started processing my application on May 13, which would have put me more on track relative to your application timeline, but then sent me the refund check dated May 13 and then it took an extra couple of weeks after that for "decision made" whereas that usually happens the same day as processing begins for most applications. That's what I've been able to deduce anyway!!
