Hello

If I m not wrong u have 6 month time period to do medical, if u r going to Canada tommarow then u make a appointment today after 2 weeks or later with the doctors or u can take appointment when u will come back. It is not necessary that u have to do your medical tommarow.

Thanks

Guys, especially Shahi.. I need your help!!!
Today I received medical request! However, tomorrow I have a flight to Ontario as I have never been there and wanted to do some traveling (Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Vancuver for a week) before I permanently move to Quebec.

Now, what am I supposed to do? I cannot postpone my flight and they send me my medicals to my home country but I have no time to do the medicals before the departure tomorrow.

Yes, I have a little complicated this however I didnt think I would get medicals so soon and at the same time I didnt want to sit around here as I am currently not working.

Is it ok if I ask the visa office for the list of designated practitioners in Ontario and do my medicals there?

I really need your help with my situation!

Congrats on MR Wingsofmaybe!!!

thanks guys! I have actually found a list of designated practitioners on cic.gc.ca so once I land I will be doing the meds there since I dont want to postpone them for another month or so.

Hello Wings,
First of all Congrats for the MR. In my opinion you should not do the medicals in any other place than the country you are presently residing and from where you have applied. I think they are very strict in these things because it will be the practitioner who will send your medical results in the office not you.

Regards

Hi guys,

a good news i called today in montreal as fobie did earlier, the lady was too nice and she asked all the story and she suggested to change the address or get a p.o.box so that they can send u the aor.
She immediately checked the data base but my name was not there. but she asked my email address and she told me within 3 days they will get back to me on email. but can u imagine with in 2 hours she replied and told me that my file was opened on 2nd feb 2011. so dont worry just send paris office ur new address or p.o.box number so that they can send ur aor.

guys once again thanks for nice and professional advices/ approach specially montreal 789 , fobie, babake last but not least stillhope. tomoro i shall go and open the p.o.box and try to send a fax on the same day to paris and montreal for one more quick response.

First of all congrats..!! Try and get an appointment in Quebec only...if you get an appointment which is later than ur return date then u can do them in quebec only..However if u r eager ..i think there is no harm in getting ur medicals done from list of doc recognised by CIC in ontario..i m not sure abt this..but shud not be a problem..Good luck!!
