Shahi, Lirjan,

Thank you for your help and kind words. I do have general knowledge of the subjects provided above but thats only general (major facts) but I also think that will be enough.

I have two weeks to go, am very scared.

Good luck lirjan, manoylo and lets keep in touch!

Hello my friends!
Long time no see! :)

I have been learning and learning and learning..... :)

@ wings

I have learned almost the same things as you (from Jacque Cartier, upper Canada and down Canada, 7 years war, to recognition of the Quebec and its culture in the world, geography, and blah blah blah...). But, i think that you should know more about your plans, job opportunities in Quebec. I think that we all have our CSQ ready in the printer, all we have to do is to convince that immigration officer to push the PRINT button. :)

Relax!

@ Lirjan

My man! How are you going? 9 days until the big day?

Marko

@ Marko

Let make this happen man. We need that button to be clicked and that CSQ paper will get out from printer once and forever to change our page of life.

Well said Lirjan, Manoylo! :)

I know we can do it!

Hii

Seniors please help:

I am a Civil Engineer and fall under NOC 2131 (Civil Engineer). My current job responsibilities match with the job responsibilities of NOC 7215 Supervisor carpentry trade listed in 29 occupations list. But, there is a contradiction in the job title and educational requirements. NOC 7215 says it has to be a supervisor / foreman with secondary school education while I have worked as Civil Engineer having engineering degree as my qualification.

Question

Can I claim experience points under NOC 7215 with my reference letters already mentioned the job responsibilities same as mentioned in NOC 7215?
Also will it be good for applying in federal direct or apply for csq +federal and any chance of rejection.
PS: I am in the final stage of gathering docs; please reply so that I could go ahead. Thanks
with the situation at hand, ur best bet lies with Quebec.although it is posible to have two federal applications running concurrently( in the case of old applicants whose application had taken 24months and above, it is not possible for one to ply both federal and quebec route at the same time. the issue of NOC classification is a tricky one with regards to federal applicants, anyone with a wrong NOC classification is authomatically disqualified. but with Quebec. all u need do is to submit all ur docs and by the time u get ur CSQ they would have chosen a NOC code for u based on the docs u av provided though this is also not fool-proof in that they might put u undera classification different from what u are expecting ( like in my case where i was given 4122 as against 2112) but at least the risk of rejection would av been solved. Knowing fully well that the CSQ-certificate only serve as a means of securing social amenities and not for dictating the kind of job to b done, i av decided to let it that way.
if u can, present a very strong case so as to get an interview waiver cos it sure will save u lot of time, money and energy.
@ wings, lirjan, et tal praying u guys retentive memories.... u sure are putting much into it....

Hi I am new to this forum. I was just wondering if you could help me please. Can anyone tell me whether we can check the quebec immigration status online.

If so , how and which is the file number. The confirmation document received for the immigration office had two seperate ref no, dossier and ind. Please could anyone shed some light on this.

Please could anyone shed some light on this.( those numbers are ur means of identification at BIQ, they are useful for tracing appliacnts file. so whenever u are communicating with them, u must include this numbers as this will enable them to give specific answer to ur querries

Thanks

@f_saad63,

Though they didn't ask me to send any french diploma but I got my DELF B1 and sent it to them . It seems that HK office is still processing June and July 2010 files. When are they going to call you for interview? Or do you know anyone being called for interview and he has your timeliness?
