I follwed the link and read up everything,though i didnt quite understand that grid cos of my very poor frenh.

What is the minimum poit that one needs to qualify?
Again apart from my education credentials,work experince and birth certificate,language test results,what other documents do i need to submit?
do i need the police clearance and proof of funds ?


again,can i follow the FSW route?

@ Kechy.... I am not sure why are you following QSC route coz i think u will do good in other canadian federal skilled worker application.... and that will take lesser time..... frm my knowledge it takes around 7 8 months..... bt thats country specific i guess..... anyways all the best

Just a clarification.

As per the link that lists the various fees there is a $CAD 390 fee for Application for a Selection Certificate (DCS) for an applicant in the perm worker category, and a $CAD 175 fee charged for examining an Application for Québec acceptance certificate for temporary work.

Should we be just sending in the $390 with all the paperwork initially and the $175 later on at the time of review/acceptance?

no its just $390. the other one is for temporary workers, and its not required in your case.

I really dont know what to do .I am sort of new to the canada thing and trying to research all my options.
I have opted for the QSW cos after doing the online eligibilty test for FSW i got just 64 points.
i have 12 years education equivalent to high school and then three years nursing training plus 2 years work experince.
I am single,no kids and from Africa.I don know wat chan+ces i have got with this 64 points dats why i wanna try the QSW.
I hope to find answers as i browse thru this forums.

Dear Friends,

I got my Canada PR (FSW) but with some good opportunities in Quebec, I am a bit confused about my working status there. Can any of the seniors please help me with these queries:

1) With FSW, am I eligible to work in Quebec ?
2) Do I need to first land outside Quebec in Canada and then get into quebec for work ?
3) I am planning to learn French, will basic French do initially ?
4) If I land outside Quebec, will my SIN number work there
5) How soon will I be able to get the health insurance there ?

i can reply to your first three questions:

1. Well, once you have your PR confirmed after landing you are free to work anywhere, including quebec.
2. No, you cannot directly land in quebec being a FSW PR.
3.French initial as starters, but you would need pretty good level of french soon.

i can help with the other two....

yes SIN works everywhere.... SIN is common throughout north america.... ( to the best of my knowledge ).... but certainly common throughout canada.....

the day u get ur PR card you are eligible for everything a canadian resident is......( i am not pretty sure but i guess u r even eligible for voting in some kind of elections )

1st u land other than quebec.....
n if u want to move to quebec thn check if u require to evaluate ur degree 4 working in quebec or not,......if ur profession require licience 4 authorized 2 work in quebec thn u should get it.........

I am in bit confusion that whether to file 4 SCQ rite now or wait 4 some time.......why this prob arrives....?

Bcoz....i hav evaluated my scores which r like that

for education =10
area of training=06
quebec diploma & equivalancy= don't know bcoz (Indian chemical degree)
age= 16
work experience=6
english=4 or 6 (all studies in english & IELTS score card 6.5 overall)
french= 2(given DELF A1) perparing 4 next level

so Grand Total =44
now my probs r........
1. how to know whether i am eligible 4 getting "quebec diploma & equivalancy"
points.
2. presently i hav 42 months exp so if i apply now, can i get 8 marks whn interview will come after 6 months.
3. its about french, is it possible if i claim for 6 marks telling them that i m pursuing for higher level.........n show d competency in french at interview.


plz guide me frndz..........whether it is possible or not......
