Merci shreya! Do you know the timeline of receiving the csq today? :)

Hi, as of current trend, it should take roughly 24 months since AOR. Should your profession is regulated and in demand, would be lesser than the estimate. At times, it could be more than that too per the discretion of Quebec Immigration. Hope for the best.

Hi, I just called Quebec Immigration office at Montreal and asked them about the status of my file and the lady said the file is "IN PROCESS" What does that mean? I should expect CSQ soon? I applied in November, 2012.

It means that finally they are checking your application. In my case from the moment my application went from in process to finally getting CSQ, it took about 7 months. So eventually you'll get yours.

Hopefully everything is alright with your dossier and they won't ask for more documents.

Thanks for the info. So, "In PROCESS" is final stage? Actually, I had never asked before about my case by calling them. What is the stage called before "IN PROCESS"?

18 months from the moment I sent the application. 13 from the moment I got AOR.

about the area of training, that is the weird part about my application. My AOT is Business Administration; however, when my CSQ was issued it show on the remarks seccion that my CSQ has priority treatment because of my area of training. But in all list, business administration shows to be 6 points.

So, yes. My CSQ was treated as a priority but honestly I can't tell the reason why ???. nut i don't complain either :P ;D

Yes, in process or "en traitement" is the moment in which they actually take a look at your application. They will verify your information, ask for more or just put you on waiting list for interview or give you CSQ.

Before "in process" or "en traitement", your application would have been listed as "en attente de traitement". at least those were the stages of my application.

you can call them anytime during the process. It won't affect your application.

Actually, sometimes when they are giving you the information they slip and tell about stuff they aren't supposed. I remember one time where the CSR told me that my application was "en traitement" and that she could see in the system that my academic degrees had been validated.

But also sometimes they can be very rude, in that particular instance I ended up arguing with the CSR ::)

Yes, it takes too long to get CSQ. Honestly, there is not much to check on those application. and it will be very hard to verify all the data.

Yes, my interview was waived. They sent me an email stating that my file was "en attente de une decision" then I got another stating that my CSQ was issued. no interview.

Another thing that I think helped me is that Mexico BIQ does not send letter through mail; AOR and all contact is done through email. Thus, you don't have to wait. and if they require something from you, you know right away and you can act fast.

that's really good and better! Our postal office doesn't deliver letters to us. Thus, I am scared that any letter from the immigration will not be delivered to me. That's really scary. Thank you.

Can anyone pls tell me whether i can apply for Quebec without French language. I am a Nurse and earlier there was a waiver for Nurses for Quebec. Avinash

hi members... called quebec immigration today and i got confirmation that my file has been opened but my payment (demand draft) has not been processed yet. I would like to know whether having my file opened counts me within the cap already or not?

for those who payed with a demand draft, how long does it usually take to clear the cheque?

Thanks for any reply.

Hey all, I am a Quebec selected applicant based in the USA, I applied for my CSQ in November 2011 in USA and finally got my CSQ after 2 years in December 2013. I have applied for my Federal application in February 2014 and it is now with the CIO - Sydney(Canada) office and completed my Medicals in April 2014. I have not heard anything further from the CIO office since then. Anybody in a similar position?
