Hi All,

I have a question which confused me. Its about counting points for Area of Training. I have BS in EE and MS in Mech Eng, both from accredited US university.
The problem is that I don't know how much point I can claim for AOT? Equivalent to Quebec degree? Mech Engineering or EE?

Pretty sure there are similar questions before, but I can't find adequate answers :(. Would you mind to share your opinion ?

Thanks.

unfortunately your bachelors degree falls under section E of AOT and you will get '0' points for that. even your MS doesn't come under their AOT.

hello securer,

its not about using google translate here. we should always type whatever it is in english here. this is a general thread for people all over the world. we shouldn't have to go to google because somebody decided to post in his/her native language.

this goes out to everybody too. lets respect others from different tribes.

So u mean to say u will use your own native language here, if we want to read your post ,everyone must use google translate..In the mean time why dont u type it in English so everyone can understand...This is a universal thread lets not discriminate it with regard to language...

@jenal and @iya
I said OK right? It means I will speak in english in this thread right after you asked me to. No need for any violent reaction since I didn't argue that it wasn't fault. I said use google translate because I don't have precious time to edit my post and there is no point in editing it.. Hope this will clarify things. thanks

I think there is a little misunderstanding here...securer initially responded "Ok" , so i think he gets your point and very much wiling to abide, what he was referring to as "to google for you to understand" were his previous posts so that you can understand that nothing bad has been said there.

thanks patina.

I have to agree with Jenalby and iya ibeji.

agree on what?misinterpreting my point? I explained in my above post chips. read it why I said translate it in google translate. did I say something that will offend others? They just ask me to use english in this thread and I ask them too to translate it in google translate and I said OK (which means I am comply to speak in englsih in my next post) compris?

SECURER.....don't use foreign language on this page, except English or French. Don't argue.

Don't argue? This is a forum and anyone can argue with everyone if they don't agree to each other and they have their own opinions. So you have no right to dictate me on not arguing with you stylove.

hi!!
Can we apply for Quebec immigration if we r not having French Language proficiency??? I just HAVE ielts can I still apply??
please reply URGENT

Thanx in advance
Fatima

Yes obviously you can apply if u pass the threshold of minimum points required for submitting application without french.... However u need to be very strong in your area of training or some other category to cover up your points for no french...... But once u submit your application don't just sit back and relax just try to keep working on your french as you might need it at the time of interview and also by doing so you can get points for adaptability as well....

2)When I applied I mentioned in application that I will come under in Computer Science i.e AOT points is 6.Is they will do assesment of what I mentioned in the application or do their own assesment ?

3)when they changed new rules from 1 August 2013 the computer engineering in AOT 12 points list is they will consider my bachelors in AOT 12 points ?

Dear friends

Pls share if anybody applied in 2011 or in 2012. But in august 2013 the Aot points were changed.
So, his/her file will be assessed on the Aot points were granted earlier (at the time of application) or the new Aot points(came into effect aftr 2013 august )will be granted for csq.

GUYS PLS SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES...

Hi Sunny,
When the new rules came,I rang BIQ they said my file will be treated under new rules.I am a 2012 applicant ,only those who submitted before December 2011 and those who received notification fall under old rules. And if you havent received any interview notification before Aug 2013 ,u wil definitely fall under new rules..

DEAR SUBASH
My counting is only 61 except adaptability but canadavisa.com says that you are eligible. Could you help me?

Hi,

Make sure that points you have counted is accurate on the basis of entire selection criteria designed by the Quebec immigration.
As said by another member here,If you have already 61 points ...then go ahead but keep in mind that you need to learn french to grab the adaptability points.
