Your experience is valued only if it's related to studies especially Bachelors or dip....

yes its true but do you think there are hairdressers, carpenters and plumbers who are applying for csq here? majority of applicants are with commerce and business related courses so meaning they will be working in an office doing office stuffs, others are computers etc....

dear, if you are a plumber or a carpetner, beleive me you would be So Happy in Canada .. or a welding specialist ..
these are the professions with which you would work directly, and gain 2.5 * times the minimum wage ..

yes what you said is very true, that is for entire Canada, we are in the Quebec forum, do you think foreign workers who are carpenters, welders, plumbers, laborers who do not have high education and at minimum English proficiency would apply under QSW? they are struggling to speak competent English what more to study the French language. actually I think at first stage alone they cannot qualify because of short of points under AOT & education minus the minimum English and no French at all. I don't know what we are heading on with this discussion ;D but that's a fact. these workers would rather apply at federal under skilled trades where their minimum English knowledge is acceptable without French. what are we talking about here? ;D ;D

I`m applying as an Automobile Mechanic....I think that`s not a regulated trade, got on IELTS 6 listening and 7 speaking, today I had the TEFaQ.....wish me luck!!!

I think that Quebec should put in priority these trades, because they could right away find a job on the trade and not waste time...of course with competent language skills both on French and English.

Not every mechanic, plumber, welder etc.is "language incapable".

Dear Users,
i applied for CSQ to BIQ HK in February 2012 and Got my AOR in march 12 2012, after getting my AOR, i am waiting for the next update, still no answer from the BIQ HK, whenever i emailed them regarding the status of my file, they always reply me, ""your file is in progress,be patience"",...
i wanted to know that if there is no query since the AOR recieved, what does it mean? is it mean that my file is OK,and there is no problem in it, coz after getting me AOR, i never faced any query from HK office.

Please guide, and also i want to get reply from seniors, thanks in advance

BUT read again I did not mention any mechanic, but if you want to include your self then go ahead suit your self.. haha

I know and yes I was talking about you,but you mentioned people with trades and described them as almost iliterate and AutoMechanics is a trade.

I don`t know from which country you come from, maybe in your country exist such people and probably treat them as "second hand citizens".

But keep in mind someone with a trade will have a high probability finding a job in Canada the moment he/she arrives, than you will.

If i include myself with those people you mentioned,I would not be typing in English.

holy **** you don't understand English you are upgrading my statement to illiterate? did I mention illiterate. and for your information this is Quebec forum not another federal program. and oh really only trade skills are highly employable? ask this forum if there are trade applicants bound for Quebec.
you included yourself because you included your job in my list, I did no mention anything about mechanics! can you really read? read my post again and read carefully.

oh man! got carried away with this guy mocking me. but if you only read how this discussion started you will understand. I was not against anyone nor underestimating anyone, I was just explaining the facts about quebec applicants at present, that trade persons in general (most of them) do not apply under QSW because at some point they are already qualified to apply at federal program wherein most of them who come from asia and other nonenglish parts of the world and were exposed to serving their countrymen and did not have a great chance to improve their foreign language abilities. they had no time to do so especially learning the French language. in this case they apply under federal trades programs. because if they apply under qsw they will lack necessary points to qualify. this is my point, and not to degrade anyone.
