Hello Friends..

New processing time table is updated on 28-Dec-2012.
There is no interview for any country which is operated by BI-Hongkong

Anyone from Western Europe who applied after December 2011 and got an interview or got their interview waived?

Hello everyone! good day!

I am also a registered nurse here in the Philippines.

I have a concern when i apply the program and if ever it will be granted. can i easily find a job? I am not picky but when i search like for example to work as nurse assistant the minimum wage is C$10 per hour. i know it isn't that big but with that salary can it help me sustain my stay in quebec? is that enough just for the start? how much usually is the room for rent there? minimum meal allowance per day? or any misc. fees that i need to anticipate? most especially i do not have friends nor relatives there.

I hope someone can help me answer my question.

Thank you!

Hello,
Have you filled an application or not yet ?
You have to know that you will need to have your credentials assessed and waived by doing some exams to practice Nursing.
Also, I am not sure if the minimum wage in Quebec is 10 $ now, I think it is a bit higher.
Anyways the minimum wage is hard to live at, as there will be around 20 % Tax ( income Tax ).
If you are gonna work at the minimum wage with a partner, then this may help, as one salrty will be dedicated for renting and its utilities.
You can find a shared room with someone at 500 $, for a suite, this will be around 900 $
Suite means legal partition of a house to rent.
Other options will be around 1300 $ and more.

Please tell me if you have more questions.

I suppose he wanted to say that no interview will be held on for those QSW applicants, who are the citizens of the countries currently being dealt by HK office ::) ::) ::)

Hi guys:

I need your feedback on the below links. Our federal applications are processed in Londond but I always thought its in Abu Dhabi!! Moreover, the processing time as per London visa office website says 6 months but as per CIC website says 12 months !!! Need your comments and feedback on this :)

Visa office for FSW Quebec: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

Hi Ousama,

Do you mean that UAE CSQ holders will process their federal application in london office instead of Abu Dhabi? how can you confirm this? any link?

if that is true, we (UAE quebec applicants) dont have to wait for 33 months as per the processing time of Abu Dhabi says... we will have only to wait for 12 months as per london office timing...

I am not sure why there is a difference of 6 months between those 2 sites... it is only an estimation i think...so let's consider the worst case scenario (12 months)

Awaiting your update

News

The selection of skilled workers will be transferred from the Bureau d’immigration du Québec in Hong Kong to our offices in Montréal

The Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles wishes to inform its clientele that as of April 1, 2013, the selection of skilled workers will be officially transferred from the Bureau d’immigration du Québec in Hong Kong to our offices in Montréal.

In the meantime, any new immigration application submitted under the skilled worker program must be sent to our offices in Montréal as of January 1, 2013.

The Ministère would like to reassure its clientele that it will continue to pursue its activities in Asia and Oceania with the same due diligence. When necessary, selection interviews conducted by the Ministère with immigration candidates from Asia or Oceania will be held at the locations designated for this purpose in the territories concerned.

No changes for other immigration categories

This change will not have any effect on files in the businesspeople sub-category; these files will continue to be processed in Hong Kong. This change will also have no effect on the family sub-category since, for several years now, the processing of these files for all territories across all continents has been done entirely by mail, from our offices in Montréal.
