Hi guys,

I have a question in mind and I need your feedback please.

When I filled the application I declared level 5 out of 12 for french proficiency. My french experience was 0 when I filled out the appreciation and now I am about to finish level 2 at AF.

My concern is what if during the interview I don't convince the interviewer that I am up to the level I mentioned in the application, would that be a major concern that might lead to a rejection knowing that I have enough qualifying points to get the CSQ without any points for French?

Thanks guys

As far as i know you need 57 points as a single and 63 points with family if you come to this score without french then there is no need for french otherwise your points cont as you mention in your application.

Thank javeedislam for your feedback. Well, I know the rules you have mentioned but I need feedback on real cases from experience because I am afraid they would have an issue with declaring higher level than my actual french proficiency..
Has anyone come across such thing or heard of someone with similar situation !

Thanks javeedislam :)

Dear Javed!

I want to apply along with my Spouse where the minimum criteria is of 67 points. We earned 73 points without IELTS & French exams. However, we still require to submit these results. What i want to ask is that now that i have appeared for my A1 exam can i submit my application with just the A1 result?

Regards,

Hokaito

Dear Hokaito,

As per new rule you have to submit French as well as IELTS test results with your application. Whatever is the result you don't be worry if your points score is more then that is require.

Hi!

Clarified from the HK VO... Results are mandatory only if you want to claim points for language. if you are not claiming points for language then the results are not required.

Now just thinking as to why am i not applying it right now if i dont want to claim these points. or is it wise enough to wait till march when i can submit atleast my A1 result?

Regards,

Hokaito

Dear Hokaito,

I also cleared delf examination in india...i applied before 6 dec..at that time AF provide "attestation de reussi"..this is a temporary marksheet.
you can claim for your point through this, i think.

So good for you, but 8 months waiting for them to collect review fee sounds insane long!

Stngr,

Indeed 8 months are way too long! I even started to worry whether they received my docs at all! :)
And i've got so many docs updated since then! now have to receive my file # so i can send updated docs back to Vienna office ???

@ experienced members,

I found on this very site that the process time for Russia is 17 months.
Is it from submiting docs to the office to receiving CSQ? Or the time until you get the file # does not count?

Thanks,
Tanya

I was waiting for almost a year between fee collection and preliminary result from Vienna...
