Hi everyone!

I have one question is that I applied CSQ in May 2011, my wife was pregnant at that time, and now we've got a new born baby, I'm still waiting for interview. Anybody knows that do I get 4 points due to have a baby?

Thank you very much.
Hi U can write a letter to inform them about the change it wont affect u only u get extra point if u are less in point.

That was a long time waiting, so they probably want to make sure if there is any changes happened, before they proccess further medical stuff. Mostly, if u are married/divorce or a new born.... Actually, I think once u have CSQ, and ur documents for Federal are fine. they just send you medical check. So you need to tell them about those changes if any. if you do not have any changes, then you still can confirm with them telling them u current situation. Other members may give you suggestions.
Hi
Thanks you for reply appreciated that.

I waited 5 months for AOR from Paris and nowadays it takes even longer. But once I received AOR, it went faster. Every 6-8 weeks there were news coming: interview invitation, interview, etc,

Non, merci!

All these new requirements, rules, procedures and prices are OK, I understand them. On the other hand, I think it is very inconsiderate that they take so long to send a simple acknowledgment of receipt for applications.

I am very disappointed with it. The pouch with my application arrived in Montreal on 06/23, it is 08/08 today (1.5 month later) and I have still not heard anything from them.
People spend their time and money preparing an extensive application dossier and are kept on a 2 months endless wait with no information on where their documents might be, how's that for a nation where you plan to live in?

Quite frankly, I don't need Quebec for anything – leave it for the Haitians. At this point I just want my documents back. Is there a way to stop them from cashing the money and return my documents before they decide to process it at their lazy convenience?

richardrickmeyers, relax . there are thousands of applications . Their procedures are very slow yes but you need to be patient. People have been waiting for years and are still waiting . Applications that go to US takes months but those for Canada takes years. It is just their way. Just have to accept it. best of luck , keep on waiting. do not give up. It is bad only when you wait for years but receive a denial letter at the end.

Hello every1,

can anybody tell what's the following means:-

Employabilite
scolarite
formation
sejour au quebec
Autres facteurs

regards,

Good question,

Employabilité:

  • Niveau de Scolarité/ Education = 12 points
Domaine de formation/ Area of training = 16 points
    Expérience prof./ Work experience = 8 points
    Age/ Age = 16 points
Français inter. Orale/ French language proficiency = 16 points
Anglais inter. Orale/ English language proficiency = 6 points
Séjour au Québec/ Stay in Quebec = 5 points
Famille au Québec/ Family in Quebec = 3 points
Offre emploi validé/ Validated Employment Offer = 10 points

Autres facteurs:

  • Enfants/ Children = 8 points
    Autonomie financière/ Financial Self-Sufficiency = 1 point

Those are the maximum points issued. But things changed much lately, I am a kind of being out of date. Other Dudes may help me out for those points. Also this is the case for a Single applicant. But once you are married they will include your wife status as well.

I hope these are clear enough, any problem/question don’t hesitate to ask.

Stay blessed

Just a little update in case it can help.

Like I told you before, I passed DALF C1 back in March and after sending my application with the attestation, it got sent back because they wanted the original diploma. The latter takes forever to be sent; I still have not received it til' now.

I decided to take the TCFQ, and passed it last week. I think it is much easier that the DALF/DELF, and the thing is even if you mess up they would accurately evaluate your level. With the DALF/DELF, you choose a level to be tested on, and you are taking a risk to fail and not have any score.

For TCFQ, for the oral comprehension, the questions from 1 to 16 are pretty straight forward, with first four being just pictures and you having to identify the situation from sentences that you hear. Afterwards, it's all about simples sentences and dialogues corresponding to each other. From questions 17 to 30 the dialogues become more complex, but their an easy trick that I noticed. When you hear the dialogue, do not too much attention to the 'details' of the dialogue, but pay attention to the general idea. From the multiple choice answer, the likely choice is actually the 'general answer', the one referring to the general idea of the dialogue. The test tries to trick you by putting specific words that you may have heard in the other 'wrong' answers.

The oral production was almost the same as DELF/DALF in the sense that you have to talk, but it was surely easier and less formal that DELF/DALF.

Overall, I think it went well, and I would definitely advise you to choose TCFQ over DELF/DALF. It's easier and you get your results quicker.

Hope this helps

This is a very good observation, I'm of the opinion that TCFQ is mainly for Quebec application process i.e. the listening and oral aspects only, so why stress one self in taking the other exams that are more general and more difficult. Except for those that can't have easy access to sitting for TCFQ, I wouldn't recommend any other exam for the QSW application process.

Cheers
