mkshah, if I may add, I was told by the relative of an applicant that got PR for QSW that they had 6 months validity period to travel to Canada after the PR is issued, I don't know about the one year after medical though it sounds logical. As suggested by vibez the PA can go first before having the dependants join later and I would suggest that it shouldn't be more than 6 months waiting period, also remember that the fund suffiency form that was filled expects that everybody accompanying the PA should be cattered for three months period pending finding a job for sustainance.mkshah said:thanks vibez for your replies...
that really helps a lot..
another query, I know that visas are valid till 1 year of medicals, now this date is date of issuing letter by VO for medicals to be done or the date when medicals are done by PA & dependent or the date when medicals are reached at VO?
As per your replies, if I get visas for me and my wife, I can plan my journey first, land there. My wife will be staying in my home country with my parents for some period of 3-4 months. Withing this period of 3-4 months, I can find a good job and good home for both of us, get acquainted with the place and people and then I can call her.
obviously all this will happen before the expiry of our visas.
Is my understanding okay.....?
Thanks anyways for your replies

This fund sufficiency is the same amount declared in the Financial Self-Sufficiency Foramt. Right? Yes it's the same one
just clear one more doubt regararing this entire thing of PA landing first and then dependent joins after few months: This does not involve the family sponsorship program. because dependents are landing within the validity period of visas.
Am I correct? Certainly not family sponsorship program becuase the dependants have been clearly indicated as joining the PA to Quebec and individually have their respective CSQ
