Shahi,

Advice you to call them, listen to what happend with me.

They were trying to fax our interview confirmation to my G/F mobile, she was recieving calls from Syria and when she was clicking answer, she heard onlu peep ... peep ... peep, it was fax peep. after few days when she informed me, i rang Damascus and asked about our interview, they said we were trying to fax it but your fax is wrong, i verified the number and discovered that they tried to fax it to mobile which is impossible.. i corrected their information although our fax number was mentioned clearly in our application and got the interview confirmation letter same day.

So try to call them.

Thanks
Mef

thx guys,

@ shahi and wings, i was expecting this from you that studying in canada will be a good option and i have thought about it before making a decision to study from UK...look being an international students they charge a very high fee not in only thousand but in thousands; and their requirements are little tough and time consuming..wheras Uk requirements are not that tough and time consuming you can get ur vsa stamp in 1 month max..i can also take feedback from UK and surely update them abt my address and contact...what do you say guys??

Vicky,

I can only say that MS you may get from UK can be found useless when you immigrate to Quebec. I mean, you will get, I'm sure, valuable education but as for a piece of paper, you may not use it that much when you get to Quebec.

I, personally, would save time and money for getting Canadian education.

hey Guys,

Just an update, got my AOR today!!!!

Also, I got a work permit for Canada for one year, leaving in two weeks.

Was initially planning to go to Montreal but my friend who lives there says it is almost impossible to get a job there without fluent French.

My French is A2.

I think I'll go to Toronto for now, what do you think???

Congrats wingsofmaybe7777. All The Best.

Guys,

I am going to Quebec in two weeks while I am awaiting my Celection Certificate. My friend who lives there says that French is very important, all the jobs require French. That's why Angel, no matter if you're preferred or not and whether you have enough points, if no French, they will find a way to disqualify you.

My friend also says: 3 things that are the most importnant: 1. French, 2. Canadian education, 3. Canadian experience even if its just working as a waiter/waitress.

Vickyrocks, why not think about doing your MS from Canada instead of UK?
Hi wingsofmaybe7777,

after reading above message i got few doubts. Please clarify my doubts.

Are we able to apply for work permit before getting Quebec selection certificate or do we need to wait for QSC to apply for work permit?

If we can get work permit before the QSC, is it mandatory to work only in Quebec in order to protect our Quebec PR application?

Thanks for your replies.

Yes you can apply for work permit before getting selection certificate. It depends on the work permit if its open you can work anywhere. But since applying for Quebec, its wise to go to Quebec.

That's what im doing, please pray for me that I get at least a sales associate job, cause heard that without very good French, it might be hard.

Wings..

Congratulations for ur work permit..it's a good opportunity & would give more weight to your application.
I suggest to head for Toronto..I've been there & I know very well that there are plenty of opportunities for foreigners to have work since they have a valid WP.
I guess you can try Montreal as well..even for a week or so..to check out ur chances there ;)

Vicky..

Well..I don't know what opportunity u have to earn ur MS from UK..but I would suggest to go for it..cause, in my opinion, British degrees are well accredited in Canada..so that would make a trouble to use it (MS from UK) there eventually..& as u say..the admission to Canadian Unis. really so demanding for international students.
Go for it. It will help u ;) :)

Well..
I need TONS of prayers for my studies & to get any sort of good news regarding my application.
SO PRAY FOR ME..PLEASE! :)

c ya guys.

Hi
Did any one received Interview letter for CSQ ( New York ) office ?Please let me know

did any one received CSQ interview ( New york office ) ,i received letter 2 month back ,but still i am waiting for interview letter .

My work permit is an open work permit which allows me to work for any employer anywhere in Canada for up to 1 year.
I am initially going to Montreal in hopes for finding a job with my level of French. I think it will help my application and give me additional points. However if things don't work out and i'll be unsuccessful with finding employment in Quebec, I'll drive down to Toronto.

wings
