1. What to wear

You should wear a formal suit, think of this as a job interview. Don't take it lightly, especially if you are not fluent in French.

2. How to prepare - Information you MUST know! e.g. knowledge of Quebec

Be prepared to face some questions in French. You must have good knowledge of your industry in Quebec, your job prospects there, general knowledge of Quebec , where you may settle etc.

3. Questions asked

Basic questions in French - How was your trip, what did you eat for breakfast, can you describe your activities yesterday?

Career- Why do you want to go to Quebec? How are going to find a job? What is your source of information ?

4. Authentication of documents - what documents to bring

Interview Letter, All visa, education certificates/dip, experience, date of birth, marriage certificate etc.

5. Any other helpful information will be greatly appreciated.

Enter the building 20 mins earlier. Once you reach, greet the receptionst and let her know that you are there for an interview. You may need to wait around 30 mins past the interview time to be called in, so you may want to carry a water bottle with you.

Try to show your skill/willingness to learn French as much as possible.No French no dice.

This is another helpful site with lots of information in French. http://www.immigrer.com/messagesdujour/

Good luck and let us know how it went.

Its not but employment certificate is. If you have both then provide it. It should ok. Hope this help.

A.
In 10th point of documents checklist it is mention...

10. Work experience acquired over the last five years
• Enclose the following documents for yourself and your spouse, if any:
o a certificate stating all your employment experiences, issued by a public notary (for applicants from China);
o a copy of employment contracts with your former and current employers;
o a copy of all your work certificates.
• The work certificates must be produced on the company’s letterhead. They must be dated and signed and bear the signatory’s name and function. They must also give the following information:
o start and end dates of your employment;
o contact information for your employers, including their telephone number;
o job positions that you held and a description of tasks that you performed.
• If you are working or have worked within a territory other than that of your country of citizenship, enclose, if such a document is required by the competent territorial authority: a copy of all your visas, temporary work permits or authorizations and renewals issued by the competent territorial authority, stapled to the corresponding work certificates.
• Internship certificates for work done during apprenticeship, training or specialization recognized by a diploma must be accompanied by the agreements made with the educational institution you attended.

Note: if you are unable to provide a letter of recommendation from your current employer or your employment contract, attach an explanatory letter to other official documents related to employment.

So it mean that recommendation letter from current employer is compulsory?

Hello to all,

Application processing Times have changed again recently if you didn't know

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#europe

and my Rome VO times have gone from 20 to 23 months for federal skilled workers. What I would very eagerly want to know is that Why Quebec applicants are not treated like other Provincial Nominee Applicants and have a clear explanation online as per how are they considered in the federal process part. Do their applications fall on the same timeline as the Federal Skilled workers or they are treated like provincial Nominees?
Till now has anybody any info about this problem that concerns us?

Hey geribubaboy,
