Ok... what alternative documents can be given in place of "family records book"

Dont worry MKShah in india they dont use Family record book. Some countries like France and some other european countries use Family record book.

Hope u get it now.

Yes stillhope thanks buddy,
I really started to worry somewhat, because I haven't attached anything like this document.

But now, thanks to you, that worry is relieved.

IF you qualify please visit your relevant BIQ website and follow the instructions on the website. In case of queries, we will be a post away. Thanks

Don't worry about it mkshah, It is not a must required document. If you don't have it, it would be still fine. So stay relaxed. : )

Hello all,

Does receiving the CSQ pretty much guarantee PR at the federal level? That is, if I have no police record and no major illness? Is the federal part of the Quebec PR application merely a formality?

Hi DianneO,
I have seen in another forum the Qorax has answered you about that but I think the other way around.
IMHO, once you get the CSQ, it guarantees your PR at Federal level provided that you don't have any medical illness and criminal history. In QSW, your education, work experience and adaptability is checked according to Quebec's immigration process and only things that are left for the Federal process are medical and police checks. I hope that helps.
(Please correct me if my understanding about the QSW process is misinterpreted. )
Thanks

No, it is in the required list of the documents, In case you can't provide it you need to explain it to BIQ and attach some alternative documents to substitute it.

Thanks mkshah & fResco,

I can get a certificate from the city council. Is the purpose of this to prove my residential address?

No, The purpose of this document is to explain your relationship (Description of your family). And I don't think you need it as well, because you will be applying as a single applicant.

You are welcome. I will highly recommend you to include a cover letter with your application. It will leave a good impression on the BIQ officer. You can explain about your motivation + suitability for Quebec. Why Quebec and how you could be an asset for that. If there are any missing documents (French results etc) you can also explain about that. But please be precise, don't write too much as that won't leave a good impact.
