I will say yes but with a condition attached. I usually advise my friends to claim points for French even if they don't have any french proficiency result. You can always learn and sit for a french test or your french level will be tested at the interview. You may also register at a french school and send your regustration proof with your application.

Yea, i saw that too but if you look closely you will find out they mentioned only Bachelors Degree (Business Administration (Bach. - 3 years)) and not masters. For a degree in Physiotherapy, they explicitly stated Master's degree. As i mentioned in my last post, I am really not sure of this, lets hope someone in this forum that has experienced such or knows someone that has experienced such may be able to advise better.

Also note that INDIAN Degree is not equivalent to that of Quebec, so you cannot earn more than 6 points if you are qualified to earn points under area of training.

Try to improve your french and you will be sure to have a very strong profile.

Good Luck!!!

Hello Donsoft,

Thanks for the link. I went thro' the link and found Business Administration in the areas of training(Section C, Foreign Degrees,Points-6.Also it is mentioned in the quebec degree,Section B,12 points).

I am confused.Which one should i consider? is indian MBA is equivalent to quebec degree?

So, How many points will i earn for my edu.qualification and area of training?

Kindly clarify.

Thank You!

Regards,

Hello quebec2011,

So, Can i apply without IELTS by producing Institute's letter(yes, all my education was in the medium of english). Won't it affect my application status?

In that case, i would prefer to apply as soon as possible rather than waiting for ielts results.

Please advice.

Thanks and regards,

Hello, I have a company and I interned in my company for 1 year (unpaid). Can I use this work experience towards my CSQ application? I need a speedy response to this please.

Yes if you are sure that you can learn french or have already enrolled then go a head. Don't forget to get a enrollment from your french institutions to indicate that you have started learning french and you are trying to integrate successfully to in Quebec society.

good luck

No! My unpaid intern job wasnt awarded points at the interview.

Hello Chibiks,

The work experience counts only if you finished that internship as a requirement for the completion of your degree. But if you did it on your own just to gain some experience, I don't think it would count.

Hope this helps...

This is to Donsoft and Quebecaspirant

The foreign MBA's count. You usually get 6 points with those. They are usually not considered equivalent to Quebec degrees unless you get them in certain countries like France. If you go back through this thread and other Quebec threads, you'd see other applicants with MBA's who got through, one that comes to mind is Shahi. With a lot of the fields on the Area of training list, a masters degree is treated like the bachelors; same points are awarded for both. The reason Physiotherapy is different is because in Canada, it is a highly regulated profession and the minimum qualification for entry into Physiotherapy practice is a masters. Business administration has no such restrictions.

Hope this helped...

Many thanks for the clarification, quite appreciated.
