@ Egpty2011, pls note that not everyone ll av to pass 2ru d interview b4 obtaining d CSQ. A good number ll also do without need for interview. A look at ur point calculatn reveals that u just might qualify 4this interview waiver. But u must increase u point to 63 b4 u can enjoy this. So ur point nw is 6 leser.since u are good in french,scaling a B1 french tst shld b easy( ds can give btw 8-10points depending on score)& ur spouse wit A1 ( ds ll give 2points). So 4rm what u av written, u seem capable of adding @least 10point with a waiver.most times applicnt av to travel 100s of Kilometres & in some cases they travel 2 other countries to attend an interview dat in some cases might av been avoided.unless of course u are sure u won't av to travel far 2get to interview venue u can opt 4d interview optn but if not i think u av got a great chance to make a stronger case than u already have

I'm going to send a TEF test results as soon as I receive the AOR as u told me ,, thanks for advice

I'm planning to have that test in July as I'm very busy this month will update u soon

What is the proof of funds?? Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members):
•current bank certification letter; or
•evidence of savings balance; or
•fixed or time deposit statements

How much does the medical examination costs?Chapter 7: Fees for the Immigration Medical Examination
With certain exceptions (refugees and refugee claimants), applicants are responsible for paying all fees and costs associated with the immigration medical examinations. This includes fees for DMP services, and radiological and laboratory examinations. Applicants are also responsible for specialist’s consultations, investigations, treatment (when applicants are referred for treatment for tuberculosis or syphilis, for example) and charges to send medical documents to the CIC regional medical office. The methods and costs of sending the medical documentation to the regional medical office should be discussed with the applicant in advance to prevent any misunderstanding. However, it is the DMP who must send the documents directly to the CIC regional medical office.
DMPs should charge reasonable fees based on discussions with the medical officer in the relevant RMO. The agreed fees would be the maximum the DMP is entitled to charge for the standard medical examination and for administrative handling. Fees will reflect local conditions and service charges. As a consequence, the fees for Canadian IMEs will vary by country. Within some countries, fees for the IME may vary by geographic location, depending on the situation.
DMPs, who routinely forward immigration medical records by mail, [note 3] may be requested to transfer some records by more expedient means in cases such as IMEs for students and certain urgent situations. On request, DMPs may forward these records by commercial courier at the expense of the applicant.

A listing of current fees and charges for the IME, required radiological and laboratory investigations, postage or courier charges, and other services should be posted in the clinic or office. If DMPs utilize special group fees or fees for large families, these fees should be included on the listing. Copies should be available for applicants on request, and applicants should be provided with a receipt for services.

Hello everybody

I'm just new and started reviewing the official website to get information on how to start my Quebec application

so here are my questions and also some points that I'm sharing
(I already posted this on another thread but then I realized it's an old thread)
Well come to this thread hope i will give answers to your all questions
I would really appreciate it if anyone can answer and guide

1) if you do a self-assessment on the official website, even with the minimum level of French (level 1) you'll pass
but from what I've heard and read on forums I know that they might reject you if you're french is not as strong as the consular (interviewer) wants!
my question is *:
- Can I submit my application right now and improve my French while I'm waiting for the interview?Yes u can send your application now if you have enough required points and you must tick atleast 1 0r 2 in your form in french language
This is to speed up the process, start it asap in order to make most of the time and also not to fall into risk of immigration criteria change
I saw on this forum that people have waited for a year after their application submission to receive their CSQ. so it's enough time to learn more French
- Is it mandatory to submit a French proficiency certificate (TEF) along with your application... and before the interviewNo it is mandatory u can send your french language result whe you will get your first aor?

2) How do they evaluate your language proficiency to award you marks for that?
I mean for both for English and FrenchFor ielts you need 6.5 in listening and 7 in speaking to claim 6 points. 6 is the maximum point you can claim in english

For delf. Below are the points distribution
a1=2
a2=6
b1=8
b2=12
c1 / c2=16
there's nothing about this on official website that would say for example: average ielts score 6.5 means advanced English, therefore you'll receive 6 points
3) during the last 5 years I have 4 years of related work exerience. it's because I'm studying MS now so I stopped wokring 1 year ago
from self-assessment I guess I will be qualified
but I couldn't find any information on how many years of work experience they need, and how old this work experience could be
please also give me some information that

4) 2009 LIST OF AREAS OF TRAINING, each section has two columns:
first "PART I - Foreign Degree"s and the other "PART II - Quebec degrees"
1 Québec degree or equivalent.
what do they mean by equivalent?
do any of us have the opportunity to make our qualifications equivalent to Quebec's?

5) Does this diploma fall under a Mutual Recognition Agreement (e.g., the France-Québec agreement)No it is only for people who did from france and that countries where quebec have aggrement with that countries?


from my own evaluation , if I learn good enough French I will be accepted
but it's good if you take a quick look at my profile (below):

my education and work experience are both Computer Science - Software Engineering10 points for your studies
Bachelor of Science6 area of training
6 years of work experience8 points if u show 4 years of experience within last 5 years

single , no children
no relatives in Quebec
French: just started learning
English: IELTS 7.56 points


I hope all your applications will process quick and without problems
if u sent delf a1 result with your application then it si good for your application otherwise just send addmission receipt of your french language addmission with yorur application

Do you live in Egypt?
I wonder where I could take the TEF exam in Egypt (hopefully Alexandria). I also sent the old Alliance certificate and wanna update them with the new TEF. I live in Canada but will spend next 2 or 3 months in Egypt. Can you help me out with locations for the exam ?

Is there any document or URL on the immigration website that states that IT is not regulated, I saw the document of regulated professions and the professional technologists is in it but many people confirms that IT is not regulated..

@ mbqsw, (1) had Quebec been interestd in strong french speakers, they would av limitd d program to france or any other french speaking countries. All u need is a demostratn dat u are learning d language & dat u intend 2continue til u are perfect. (2) yeah u can submit nw & update ur file wit d rsult when u get ur AOR. (3) point allocatn for language an all other factors can b found in d processing guide titled: Guides des immigration. I dnt av d address handy with me now perhaps other forum members can pls provide d link for our friend. (4) the minimum requird work experience is 6months. (5) degree equivalency for foreign degree can b obtaind by sending ur notarized transcript & a fee to d foreign qualificatn equivalency agency.after verificatn, d agency ll issue a certificate of equivalency or otherwise.it's only a necessary step b4 one can take M.sc degree of which ur intendin sch ll do for u. U need not file for equivalency b4 ur applicatn can b successful u dnt need it. (6) Mutual Recognitn agreement are meant for those who had attended some specialized sch in Belgium/france. Most of us ll not fall under this agreement.
