What is BIQ?

I have applied for CQS on 21 FEB 2014 and got AOR on 15 th MAY 2014. Like me many members who are from Asian countries, got AOR. I want to know what is next step? and when will be interview for CQS take after AOR getting? I heard that They were already scheduled interview and they reach to Abu Dabhi ( Arab Country). Soon they will come to Asian countries to conduct the interview. Do you think our file interview will be conducted until this December? If our interview come early then we are able to get CQS soon otherwise i just gone through many cases, it takes around 2 to 3 years to get PR

Yes, like others, from the date of AOR, technically it will take 24 months, however, in certain cases like below,
-the high requirement of labor market, i.e., if your profession is in high - moderate demand,
-you experience and AOT, etc.,
chances are there to be invited for interview for upcoming session, and in rare scenario, interview could be waived too depending on regulated professions' compatibility.

Jimmy I thought you heard something from your BIQ? I mean they are calling applicants from May 2011 now and you are one of them. You haven't received any communication from them yet?

Hey guys,

I have been waiting for 22months now.

I had applied for Australian PR same time as I had applied to Quebec. I received my Australian Permanent Residency last week. 8)

Now the question is:
1. Should I update BIQ Montreal about my Australian PR? ???
2. I am getting married in Sept this year and also thinking of moving to Australia in Oct/Nov time. Will my port of interview change from India to Australia (or somewhere else in the world)? :
3. Generally where will Quebec interviews be conducted for anyone applying from Australia? ???

If someone send his application after they reached the cap set for Quebec this year (6500) - will they turn it back and refuse it or take it on hold until next year??

They will return it to you if next year they announce new caps it begins from that date, no past applications are kept because they may have new conditions

I have also received old expired dd back from quebec immigration, i made a new dd and sent to quebec immigration, after one month I have received payment receipt along with notification of opening of my file/folder.

Hi All

We are Indians living in UK now. We have started the canadian immigration process just 15 days back. We have already checked if we qualify and we got 63 points.
I have a few questions and it would be helpful if someone could answer them.

Our case is: My husband is the primary applicant. We both hold indian passports. We have a 5 yr old son but he holds American passport. We are currently living in UK. We are collecting documents now for the application.
1) Since my son is an American citizen do i need to include his name in the application?
It is always better to add your child to the application.
2) For certified true copies of our birth certificates, marriage certificates and educational documents how do we get it?
When we called the indian consulate here in Birmingham they said we need to send the documents to Ministry of External affairs in New Delhi and get it attested. Is Attestation same as certified true copy?

Its more or less same.. but lets check what seniors say about this Seniors pls help..

3)How did you guys get the certified true copy done?
What I have done is, I collected the '"certified true copy" seal from all the offices that issued the relevant certificates.
4) Do we need to know french mandatorily?

Its always better to knw the french. But its is not mandatory. if you have enough points to apply without french.

5) What is the total process time from start to finish?
wil take min 2.3 years

Why cant you check the FSW imigration progarm? it will take max 10 months
