Dear all, i sent my application Nov 2013 and i got a letter on 14 May 2014 with my file number stating that my DD has expired and must send a new one. But since 1st Jan 2014 the fee has revised to $ 757 for primary applicant and $ 162 for spouse. So, now i should take a DD of revised fee structure or same as in the old DD?Huh Please reply me ASAP. I am going to send it today itself. Thanks in advance.

Please I need help regarding Quebec Immigration

I am planning to apply later this year 2014 I need an assessment my credentials are as follows:

Education: Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Textile Technology from Indus University, Karachi, Pakistan. My total education is 16 years.
Don't know about area of training.
Age: 27
Experience: 3 years
No IELTS and or French Language certificate but I have a letter from my university that the medium of instruction in this university is English will this help me.

Spouse Education: MSc Mathematics from Karachi University.
Don't know about area of Training.
Age: 24
No IELTS and or French Language certificate as well.
No Experience

Also have a 5 months old son.

I would really appreciate if someone assess me.

Many will give their assessments but I suggest to not take our word for it. Remember that each application is different. All our advises are only based on our experiences and they may not work in your situation. If you want to be assessed better, It would be best to hire a good immigration consultant or lawyer.

I have also received old expired dd back from quebec immigration, i made a new dd and sent to quebec immigration, after one month I have received payment receipt along with notification of opening of my file/folder.

I suggest you to fin The griell Synthese in the website of immigration Quebec.
THis will give you and idea of how many points you may get. As far as I can see this would be your score:

A Bachelor will give you 10 points
Age: Full 16 points for you
Formation see the oficial link on immigration Québec's website but I estimate : 0 points
Experience 3 years 6 points
Languages 0 points: You need official certifications otherwise you cannot claim points even if you are native speaker.
Spouse: Maybe 2 points for mathematics and 3 for age:
Son: 4 points
Finances: 1 point

total: 39 points. Minimum score 57 before interview. to be honest don´t even try, unless you get the points for languages. Sorry but it is better to be honest.

Worst and realistic case scenario with simple mathematics:

Worst: 836 applications received every 15 days: 6500 Caps will fill by the end or july (25th)
Real: 724 applications received every 15 days: 6500 caps will fill by august 14 -15th.

I will take my TEFAQ test on june 20 I hope I can make it. Wish me luck ;D I have other every single paper ready even IELTS, and translations.

If all documents are intact, you should get your AOR within now and october .

Hi guys,

Can anybody explain what a "booklet" or "workbook" is? Also, the social security contributions are used as proof of experience, right? So, if you're no longer working in a field related to the one you applied for, do you still need to show social security contributions for that particular field?

No less than 2 years as of today, it takes even longer for Asian applicants apparently, though.
