Dear fellow members
I am posting this query on my friends behalf. ur valuable suggestions are welcome.
He has applied for Quebec immigration on 25 july 13 as a welder and i am still waiting for any kind of correspondence from NDVO.
presently i am in Quelimane in south africa. Nw recently my employer has given me an opportunity to get an LMO arranged for me as a welder from skechwen .
I am confused whether i should apply for immigration using this LMO and welder experience.
Will i hv to withdraw my quebec case.
out of the two cases which is faster and success rate is more.
I am in a very confused situation.
plz help......!

Hi,

So I am new here, I've tried to glean this from this forum, but have admittedly become daunted by the 1487 (and counting) pages of posts.
Right now I just want a reasonable ball park figure for best case scenario from submitting the application to landing in Quebec times. I will be applying from the United States as a US citizen.

I believe I will have no issues with the point-system (10 year software engineer, financially independent, speak/write French quite well, genuine desire to live in Quebec as opposed to the rest of Canada, etc) and we'll assume I assemble all the paperwork properly the first time around...

What amount of time am I looking at?

I have been thinking of calling them but I am not sure they are willing to share such "sensitive" information over the phone since they cannot verify my identity.

I tried mailing them using the email address I provided in the application form but they didn't reply yet. Hope they will do soon. If not I will call them.

they should just ask for your full name, date of birth, country.

Mina, as I understand things, they will process your file mostly according to the new rules. This is bad for you. The only exception is that they will likely allow you more time to reach B2.

The five-year rule is applied from the date they received the application, not when they start processing it. This is good for you.

and i send my file 23 / 7 / 2013 after 4 years of graduation
they will begin the examination after more than 5 years of graduation
and i am not working in my specialist
would i get my points of AOT or no ???!!!
i heard from friend called them they said the AOT points gived according to date of INTERVIEW......!!!!!
this is critical problem for me and
i want to be sure of the AOT points gived according to which date ???


- date of recevied file ??
- date of file number given ??
- or date of preliminary examination ?

Hi Krish,

This is not AOR. Generally AOR is in format ( AOR - HA0000XXXXX )
The ref ind which you received is the communication reference number. where as the AOR is ( Numero de dossier No. ) . This means you will get the AOR soon or it is on its way. You also should check your e-mail inbox and spam also as i got the AOR via mail and it went to spam while i realized that after 20 days.

1- the Point of area of training is grant depend on the BSC Certficate or what ?

2- The Point for Experience Point if im working more than 5 years am i eligable to obtain the 8 point or it is required to be working in the same field of studing ?

I think I screwed it up, I put wrong training code into the form (stupid face)! I don't know what to do anymore. I googled but it seems noone else had the same stupid mistake as mine.

Now I'm nervous and don't know what will happen to my application. I sent it before Aug 01 but still didn't have the AOR although it has been over 3 months. According to the new rule, my application doesn't reach the minimum score yet.

My question is will they correct the code or will they just return the file? Can I update the code without drawing (or waiting it to be returned)?

Generally they will determine the exact mapping code and will associate it to your profile. I dont think there is any reason for returning it, unless your form is incomplete in any other aspect. Its in fact difficult to determine the exact matching code for closely related educations.
