2. is NOC 2171 in Priority in Quebec ?

my application was delivered on 27th march , still nothing yet, I used my credit card (American express) i check everyday, it has not been charged. I'd keep my fingers crossed. I sent my application to Montreal , I know someone on this forum whose application was received 2 days prior to mine and his cc has been charged already. I mailed micc 2 days ago and got a reply yesterday that I should wait for 4 to 6 months.

This is an indication that your application is accepted and you will be given AOR ! because if it has not been awarded AOT points then your application would be with you cos i ve seen NevilK's Case who's application was returned cos of 0 points in AOT good luck correct me seniors if i am wrong

I received the same letter like you,yes ur old dd can be cashed and then converted as a new one....I hav send a new dd last week and it has reached Montreal...now just waiting with fingers crossed.....let's pray .....

My timeline...well applied to BIQ Hongkong on 23/10/2012,got a mail from my consultant that it was transferred to Montreal on 29/12/2012......then got a post from Montreal on April 14/04/2013 that my old demand draft expired and asking for a new one...Last week I have send a new dd and it has now reached dere...jus checkin it everyday if it's being encashed through my bank..well the gud news was it had the file number.....

@ jenby that is good to know , I figured applicant who submitted to the BIQs gets processed faster before now and most CCs from them gets charged the first 1 month as well.

That's true the prob with my app in the transfer period 3 months flew,again my dd expired that was another issue...I have 67 points as a whole...hoping to get a waiver.....let's c....

jenby great to hear you have 67 points, I currently have 62 points , my wife has degree in economics and statistics double major, I am hoping they will award us some points in AOT for the statistics part, if they do maybe I'd get a waiver but if they don't am ready for the interview am quite impressed with my learning speed in French , am able to now listen to news and other programs on tv5monde. am loving the French experience although I have only been learning for over a month, I hope to learn for 2 more months then take tefaq and continue to learn. and I will also enrol my wife. I just wish I'd get and AOR soon.

Gud...wish u gud luck with ur AOR..In my case am a nurse with masters from UK,while my husband holds a MBA..we r not claiming any points for French ....I am bit ok with French as I hav done my schooling with French as my second language...let's c how things go....until den fingers crossed....

did you read before, the interview during the interview requested the medical better so it even if level a2

Hello Guys !!

Congratulations to all of those who received their PR and best of luck for all those waiting. I applied for Quebec Immigration in Jan 2013 and i received a file number (I don't know if this means A.O.R) in March 2103 stating all the documents have been verified and they would call for interview. I just have couple of concerns:

Our french is very poor since we only took 6 hours of classes from Alliance Francaise (Los Angeles) and i am worried if my interview would in french ? I know during our application we haven't used any points for french since we had enough points . Is french really needed? Please advise

Also how long will the entire process take before i get PR from Quebec?

I would appreciate if you guys would respond to my questions

The bad news is you deifnitely need French certificates to be sent with your application or taken to the interview, the good news is you have 2 more years from now to apply for a French Test result. The QSW program is taking way too long these days. I suspect this is somehting knowlingly done by the BIQ. So, stay calm and keep learning French. The interview will be half in French and half in English.

@signalmaker as i understand the points are locked in when the file is opened, any update will be a mere formality. I don't know if that's correct , am just thinking that's what I understand from various discussion on the subject. what exactly does the rule say? I intend to take tcf or tefaq sometimes in August. I could take it now, but I don't want to land around A1 or A2 , I want to be somewhere around B1 or B2

Yes - I think that can be done. Or take the certificate to the interview.
