maybe u r right cameron, but i know that lebanais and syrians dont need any visa to travel to turkey, just a stamp .and u can live there 3 month without any permit residence.
regards

this has been the case for years, we travel to Turkey without visa, but on my travel date, they showed me a list of countries including Lebanon to require a visa.

thanks Mr. Cherif. :) :)... but isnt strange they dont want our fingerprints while they kept doing security investigation for 1 whole year since medicals...

welcome zilar , no it is normal, they only do that for temporary visas so they make sure those people wont stay there , and even if they fake permanent residency they can be caught while suspected by the fingerprints..

btw i haven't shared this before , since back then i wasn't posting on this forum, but 1 day before my CSQ interview in Istanbul, while in the airport here, i was banned to travel, the counter guy told me that as of that day we need a visa to go to Istanbul ( i am Lebanese ). he even showed me a new issued list, including Lebanon as a Visa Requirement to go to Istanbul. After discussing the critical situation and waiting , someone from the airport called someone from Istanbul, and they allowed us to travel, i don't know how and why that happened, since after me a lot of Lebanese traveled with no issues... :-\ and nobody on this forum mentioned anything about it. very weird..

that is so weird! my brother now is in turkey using Lebanese passport , entered without a visa, probably that person at the airport was acting to get bribed :P

So why are you moving to Canada? if you have good job in UAE / GULf you are happy where you are.. why you are moving.. or you are just doing it to get the passport and get back to Gulf??.. Sorry but if that's the case that's low and well opportunistic

I will talk about myself, when I applied I had no idea about job market in Canada. when I applied my salary + small job position, but after 4 years waiting for visa, things changed.

Canadian passport not much important in uae or gulf, my salary better than Canadians, gulf not any more impressed by foreign passports, it true they pay high salaries for some Europeans but these candidates are professionals, they have skills.

but I frankly tell everyone that I already booked oneway ticket and I am going to work as labor 88$/day, until I am able to establish my own business.

even its very hard to find labor jobs, because all immigrants apply for it, also students etc.
