I told you last time, land and tell me your impression, youve been here several times, you know the place well ;)
dont compare for me towers and streets and technologie, 8)

lool okk man , after my first week or 10 days of being there , I update you

Lemans my dear...this is ur dream? To have a Porsh to meet nice ladies???? This is underestimation !!!! U don't have to be rich to meet someone ...they must wait for you in their Porshe :)...hahahhaha
Listen...having family and kids in Canada you feel always safe!!! In Gulf or Lebanon if an accident occurs, or one lose his job...what will happen with the kids? One parent won t be never able to raise alone the kids, paying good schools, University..etc....And what jobs for them after?
Here if you study on full time basis the goverment supports you..they pay for ur university, books and u receive a monthly budget in order to live. After you get a job you return the money for university back....with a 2.75 % interest rate per year...which is nothing! So i will never be worried about my kids future !
For a family taxes are not high at all, and if they consider that this year u paid tax but ur costs of living are high..and u have low income...they give you back all taxes you pay plus some more!!!!!!
SO??? Being happy means having peace of mind, never be worried about tomorrow, never be worried that if u lose the job ur kids won't be able to study ....is not about having a porshe or a castle !! Being happy is having those things money can't buy !

Maybe Lemans, part of what you have said it is true. People who think that you go there and be rich have false vision. But on another hand, even if you pay taxes you pay them to get better services, health (even if you wait - come and check the engineer's syndicat in lebanon their health plan sucks and make ur life hell and u end up paying) - retirement - city services . You have parks, public etc.. and regarding work yes employee is an employee in beirut or montreal or toronto or paris or new york but no it is not the same. if you work well and hard you move forward you have more opportunities and this is not available in lebanon not the slightest.

PS: regarding Working as an Architect, it is not mandatory to be licensed, (you can get work but it will be little bit lower in salary). The Idea of being licensed is totally diff than beirut btw, and anyway we have new program for licensing which is way easier than the old one. you can check it here:

Hello,
You can check on the order of engineers in Quebec website, it is all detailed and you might have to do 2 or 3 technical exams (in Canada and after a certain period of time following your arrival) depending on the university you graduated from in Lebanon. However, not all engineers are required to be part of the order in Quebec. Only the security related jobs (architects and some electrical engineering) might require so.

Regards.
Hello Apolo,

Thank you very much for your kindness(+1) ;D

About checking , I did that since longtime ago and as you said , there some exams to follow depending on your university but what i was asking is about doing such exams before arriving to Canada -as lemans claimed- in Lebanon.

Are you sure about what you said ? as i know all engineers should join the order to be recognized at the job market !!! >:(

By the way , i m Syrian mechanical engineer with master degree from France.

Hello :)
regarding the exams, you can only do them once in Canada, as they are specific exams for the order of Engineers in Quebec.
regarding the necessity of joining the order, well I'm a telecom and networks engineer, and so far I had 2 remote interviews with 2 big companies in Canada (including Bell) and they both confirmed that, for my specialization, no need to be part of any organization. You only need to join if you are working in projects that might affect the security of the Canadian Society. Else, no need for it.

thanks for the motivations..
I believe that money there has less value than in here, because in here money rule people, but in there you can get most what you think of, so people rule the money..

Hi,
the info I provided was also given to me during the CSQ interview. So it's not my own opinion or a result of my researches. It is an official opinion from the biggest Canadian company and from an immigration officer.
