if you submitted your medicals after September it is normal to be still received, but soon it may become in process like many other applicants.. ''ecas is not always reliable''
there are people who made meds on oct and nov and their e-cas in process

I have a friend who presented his file 2 months after mine (in July 2013), and got his medical request 1 month after mine (in November), but had his status updated to "in Process" since January 11th... it's really weird as we have identical files and cases since we prepared them together.
I've read on some posts that "application received" means also that the file is under processing, but still I need to see it written in BOLD in my e-CAS so I can get some sleep :P
I wish someone can give us a clear answer or opinion on what's the difference between "received" and "in Process"...

I used to be with RBC, good service, but they don't have too many branches, at least not near me. TD has a lot more. You may also want to check out Caisse Populaire in Quebec, I'm pretty sure it's everywhere.

The other option is HSBC which I believe is world wide. Carrying that much money is not scary, get a money belt. Airports are really secure....except maybe Beirut LOL...but you won't spend that much time there.

the problem is that when they put in-process they wrote we start processing your file on let's say 15/02/2014 it means they start processing one month ago per example , tayib before that time wen ken el file wo how much time they need to finalize it after that time if 7 month so it's big prob , ya3ne fitna b re-medical

I think that it's not related to the officer or he didn't update our e-cas
I guess they didn't start all checks until they wrote we start processing your file on 00/00/0000 , because in my GCMS it shows that sec check , criminality , eligibility , not started
when they will wrote start processing i will order a new GCMS

there is no logic in the whole procedure!!
and what makes it even more depressing, is that they don't even bother themselves and answer to our e-mails... and they say that their resources are dedicated to processing the files, that's why they don't answer. and at the same time they keep our files for months without any updates...
