Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

I have a relative at the Canadian Embassy in Romania and he confirmed that. They will inform everybody soon, expect the news to be posted on the official website by the end of the month. I'm so upset and was planning everything on the Canadian Visa now I don't know what I should be doing in my home town where there is no job for anybody. Sorry to tell you that but believe me my heart is aching.

They cannot just do this. Even the federal government cannot accept this. Do not forget they need people. They would rather delay you than cancel you. After all they decided to move the applications from Beirut to Bucharest to speed the process because Beirut could not handle it anymore. Plus don't forget that our process is almost over at the last step as most of us have already done medicals, so their is no point in cancelling at this stage. If they want to cancel, maybe only new and recent applicants.

I understand perfectly. But i doubt this can happen, because logically, a visa office does not have the right to cancel applicants. We did not apply to a visa office, but rather to the federal government. From the beginning they transferred the files there because of faster processing !!

Dear Tashnaq,most of us are QSW applicants and already have CSQ.So we have been selected for Quebec.Therefore it is impossible to cancel our applications.

In addition to that, we have all seen how fast the process in Bucharest is. My file was moved from Beirut to Romania in April 2013. I did the medicals in August 27th. The total processing time is 12 months for Romania since the file was transferred there. So i expect Inshallah the Visa in April 2014 which makes 12 months.


I am sure those who are complaining that already 8 months after medicals have passed, will receive the visa soon, maybe in February.

I just hope so because I can't sleep anymore. What makes me pessimistic is back in 2008 they canceled my application after I've done my medicals. I just hope so brothers, I have no job and I'm totally broke I just want to go to a place where I can survive.

I am sure things will be okay. Common to cancel an application at this stage when it is almost finished does not sound logic to me. If they wanted to cancel, they would have done this initially and not have sent them to Romania in the first place and advanced so much on them.
