guys, trust in the 8months timeframe they gave you this way you don't panic. also, you might then be happy if the PR arrives before the 8months are over....i came from dubai yetserday, and the airport in lebanon literally looked like "madinat ashba7" a ghost city at 10am in the morning! what the XXXX are we still doing in this country. even if you have a good job and financial security and health insurance, lebanon now is like a time bomb, both in reality and metaphorically. so, would you think that you want your kids to be in such an atmosphere?

i have a question, if you are a quebec applicant, like we all are here, would you be able to land in quebec and then settle in another provence? would they be able to deport you for doing that? my kids speak only english and this worries me as i want to put them in good schools when we go to canada, but still not jeapordize their education due to language issues, so i though of looking elsewhere to settle. does anyone know if legally canada can do anything about where you settle, or if you have to sign any papers saying you have to settle in quebec?

thanks, and happy waiting for all of us.

They'd be able to do it yes.
You can work in any province but you have to settle in Quebec at least during your first year.
Take my case, they know that my wife in an Ontario resident so they made me sign the "intend to reside in Quebec" twice to make sure I'll be living there. I'm currently residing in Ottawa but once I do the landing it will be in Quebec.
Don't take any risks...

Yes, GCMS is just the new system. Your VO should be indicated on the first or second page.

take it easy Moon, can't get any worse than this, at least the light at the end of the tunnel is real and not the light of a train coming towards you. ;)
