if a canadian citizen wants to apply to a governmental position, security clearance will take between 1.5yrs to 2 yrs. so imagine us .. mine for example took them 1.5 yrs to make sure i was married to the principle applicant (though we did it civilly in cyprus) and that i didnt do any crime.. lolol

hehhe.. well guys.. i understand you beyond doubt.. like my husband got his visa after 10 years .. lolol and now we have a stable life here in beirut.. so going now is becoming harder..

but anyway my example about security .. is just our case.. doesnt mean it applies to everyone, a friend of mine applied to QSW in 2006 he was in quebec in 2 years.. so again it all depends on every case and how many times you traveled w mish bass hek if you have family outside lebanon (it makes it longer) thats y it took 1.5 yrs to clear me since all my sisters/bro are outside leb.

Guys, I don't have background information about each of your files but there's a high negative vibe on this forum. Basically, each one of us has deliberately applied for immigration - no one forced us to get into this process. Be grateful because we're the lucky few ones who were still granted an initial acceptance. Few years down the road, you'll look back and think that this immigration process was difficult but definitely easier than how it will become 5 or 10 years later. The doors are closing and those who are able to get during these few years... I call them luck.

Between Quebec & Federal... My application has been in process since October 31, 2010. 3 years already! What is the worst case scenario? Wait another 2 or even 3 years? Regardless of the waiting, I've decided to continue living my life exactly the same way I've been living it before 2010. I check every now and then updates on what's going on, and I may feel desperate sometimes, but I know that I don't need to stress about it knowing that I am doing the best of what I can.

I call all of you to apply logic and reason your feelings. You've waited so long, and soon enough your waiting will pay off.

I got the CSQ on October 14 and my file to CIC was delivered on November 9 lacking 3 security clearances which I am in the process of obtaining right now. My CIC file should be processed in Abu Dhabi. I am still waiting to hear back from the Sydney office.
