Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

May I ask you when they started processing your application please? I am going to send my application tomorrow inshallah to the CIO in Sydney then it will be sent to Amman office. I don't know how long it is going to take to be sent there. The processing times for Amman office is 43 months according to the CIC website. I want to know if these processing times are accurate or not. I need someone to give me some hope and tell me that it is not really going to take this long.

They started processing my application on April 11,2010
However it was transferred to Amman's office on Feb 21,2012

I sent medical in mid august, police certificate mid september from syria to amman affice, and 3 days later ( 20 sept.) they called me saying in 8 weeks u'll get ur visa. i emailed them in october and they reconfirmed that it will be in 8 weeks from mid sept. which means mid november ===== NOW!

hopefully we all get our ppr email very soon

I really hope so! the 8 weeks for me are already over...I'm just waiting for the golden e-mail...IInshallah kheir

I'm leaving to Ottawa tonight and in few days I have an inquiry with the MP.
Writing them won't do us any good except delaying the process.
I fear that if we don't receive anything by mid December then it's gonna stall till after the holidays.
I'll keep you updated once I get some answers

do we need an active ( up to date) CSQ when landing in quebec? or the visa is enough?
if so, i guess we could renew from inside quebec.
