I don't think it's a good idea to add your future wife now, If you do they will cancel your CSQ and study the new file as couple and if your both points don't reach 63 according the new rules after first of August , you both will be called to an interview with an immigration officer again, and that's dangerous, and will take long time to finish.
The best way , as I think, is to apply alone - without marriage- for federal, get you visa and PR, then sponsor your wife.

on what grounds are you basing your advice? i wont be treated under august rules as i am a 2010 applicant.

I think Moon was in this situation so she may shed some light on this.

You would need to inform Quebec, so they can send you a new CSQ as a married couple, and then apply for her federal portion. It may delay getting your visa, since they will need to study your wife's application. But I think it would be less than the 2 year sponsorship. This is just my opinion.

not only that but if he got married and dnt inform them it is considered as fraud. in case he is still single now he can do both but as you said sponsorship might be more than 2 years.

I am sorry, I made a mistake,
it will be processed according to the rules effective at the time the principal applicant submitted
You can check the Question No. 5

Not sure, I remember he has a lawyer in Montreal following up his application, but for the sure the visa will take it personally from Beirut

Someone earlier was asking about FBI clearance that was requested. Just to let you know it took about exactly 6 weeks and we received our FBI clearance today. But note well that we send the documents in expedited mail and enclosed a prepaid expedited return mail as well. I think now they have everything they need! Yalla, please the visa! Even if we won't go now, but it is reassuring to have it and then plan the trip for the summer or spring.....

any news out there?
