if you provided autenthic documents and you could get the needed points, still you have to convince them you are attending to live in quebec, otherwise there is no reason to refuse you.. refusal cases are rare for my information.. specially after making you wait for 3-4 years before their decision!

if you go to the interview and you have 61 points, he can easily refuse you by giving you 1 point adabtability.
if he thinks your degree isnt true.

if he feel that you cant adapt in quebec society, also sometimes wife answers will coz refusal, she doesnt want to work etc she isnt able to learn french

but since your called dont worry, they usually take decision b4 interview, just they want to make sure of everything :P

Hey Gents,

I got my CSQ (QSW) few days ago and I am now in the process of collecting all necessary documents/forms before sending out to Sydney. I will not send the required police clearances along the applications because I need to get a police clearance from the US and that would take between 14 and 18 weeks (!!!). Before I proceed, I would like to obtain any tips or advices from others - matters that would most importantly shorten the timeline of course. I am Damascus office... On the CSQ it says that my regional office is Abu Dhabi / it's where I currently live.

I know that they had big issues in the past 3 years because of the Syrian crisis - but hopefully things have geared up again now. One more thing, on my CSQ it says Priority Treatment, does it mean anything at all?

Appreciate your input.

Cheers,
Patient

Hi Patient,

The US FBI clearnace takes 4-6 weeks, I called and checked, and now that the shutdown is over, things will move again, although they are now processing the requests for ;ate september and october, that is what they told me. So, mine was supposed to be done by mid november, but due to the shurtdown it was delayed and now I am expecting it sometime in late december. So, my advice to ou is do not delay the US FBI request, just send it before everything. also it would be good to send a prepaid expedited return envelope with it so that you get it back faster.

as for expediting the process for Sydney, I guess the only thing to do is to make sure that you have submitted everything as per their request and that you sign all needed papers so that they won't have to send it back to you for signatures.

Good luck!

Ok Guys I need your help, again..

My medical test was done on May 23, 2013.

As I am checking my application Status (Ecas) I found "Application Received" instead of "In Process". when I click on Application received, I found nothing but the same old stuff ( mafi lessa medical results received :( )

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on April 11, 2010.

We started processing your application on April 11, 2010.

We transferred your application to the Amman office on February 21, 2012. The Amman office may contact you.

So Does anyone know what is that :o? what does it mean? is it a positive thing or scary?

Thank you

Good day,

Usually ecase are not reliable and doesn't reflect instantaneous application status.

Mine haven't changed for the past 8 months. eventhough I did medical back in February.

Enchalla 5eir though.

Hey everyone, I have a question for applicants that added a new spouse to their application after being in process for years:

1- what forms are required?
2- what documents are required?
3- does it delay the application process? if yes by how much time?
4- What fees are required to pay ?

cheers,

Hi nora
do not worry amman office was affected by strike in visa issue part ,so the good thing that you did your medical. now you are in background check stage . i expect that they will ask you for passport to stamp visa before the end of thid month or next month not after . since PAFSO strike is over amman office start calling applicant who done medical for visa .already last week they called applicant did midical in february or march i do not remember exactly

Hello mft25 and Nora,

my medical was done/received in early August 2013, updated docs and police certificate were requested and received in early September, and the embassy called me from Amman in mid September telling me that a decision has been made, and i just have to wait for the security check which takes minimum 2 months ( according to them) from mid september.

Thank you very much everyone....

I feel much better now..I hope it's really something positive :)

Anyway, I'm just feeling a little bit worried about my Ecas status....why they didn't write that line"Medical results received" ?

Thank you again....I'll keep you updated

Good luck everyone

Thanks for the heads up - few more questions:
1- Shall i include my address in the UAE as the mailing address? Will they send it overseas?
2- There are approved channels (e.g. My FBI Report) who can get the police clearance in 5-7 business day for additional fees - did you try considering these? Also as I assume that you are outside the US, where did you have your fingerprints taken?

The more you dive into the immigration process, the more complicated it gets!

In terms of sequence, what is done first: Medical Check or Background Check? Please advise.

Cheers,
Patient

RE: Nora_sh1

try sending an specific case inquiry concerning ur medical result. Personally i think they received them, just too lazy to update it online.

Did u receive the email concerning updating docs and sending police certificate?

Online status is not up to date and sometimes people get visa while it still indicating you application received
