it is about time they get that Nazi out and i hope the new guy is not worse, fingers crossed

btw , my passport expired last March, would that cause an issue or delay on my application? i did renew it but the embassy did not request a copy of the new one

+ my e-cas still shows those strange characters, m guessing my file is still in beirut

Write a letter explaining everything, include whatever docs u wanna show them and mail it to the embassy by registered mail so u make sure someone signed the receipt

I am not sure that will help but can give it a try, if you remember I even went in person to update my contact info.
when they request docs updates (martial status etc...) do you need to fill out a form or just send them a letter stating that no changes have occured in your status ?

I used to include the documents with a letter explaining the situation, there is no form. It can be done online but it won't help the same way as sending them physical stuff

so even if there are no chages to your status you would still send new copies of the old ones?

U have an exceptional case. Just write them a letter telling them what's happening with u and include a copy of ur passport and if u have any marital or address updates

don't worry about the characters in ecas...my fiance's ecas still shows the same thing and his file is now in Bucharest. I think csaade is right, write them a letter explaining that you have renewed your passport, send them a photocopy of it too. That way they will update your file and hopefully choose to finish your file. Akid include your file number, address, name. Even if Beirut is no longer your visa office, I am sure they will forward your package to Bucharest.

Another person I know got his medical today, he applied to federal Dec. 1 2010. His file is now in Bucharest as well.

we are still waiting for the visa...its been 2 months since medical for my fiance.

No, they did not. They said I will get another one email with medical exam.
They ask me to pay money for my PR, i have paid yesterday .

i am a quebec applicant, i got an email today confirming that they received my federal application and it is complete .

1 - "Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application. Your reference (application) number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence."
does this means that my file is tranfered to beirut?

2 - i tried to check the status of my application on "http://www.cic.gc.ca" but with no success, do i need some time so that i can check the status of my application.
