Hey guys

I have an issue and I wish if you can help me.
I am single now, expected to have my visa issuance for PR in May or June.

Can I get married when visa stamped and then land to get the permanent residency card and after that apply to sponsorship her ?

Or it is better to get the pr card and then return back to get married?

All repplies would be highly appreciated

Now that you're in the final stage. my advice is wait until you land and then you can get married. in case you get married before receiving your visa you're gonna have to inform the embassy that your marital status has changed, it might delay things a lil bit. Wait until you go there, settle down and then it will be fine to get married. you can bring your spouse as a visitor, get married in Canada and apply for sponsorship. the visit visa is valid for 6 months but under such circumstances you can apply for extension and they'll give you up to 2 years since you'll be having a sponsorship application under process. such process takes up to 1 year to be finalized. hope this helps...

Immigrants are not considered foreign temporary workers. My understanding is that this is a totally different category

I'm aware of that. My point is that temporary workers are dominating the job market illegaly, making it difficult for new immigrants to find jobs

Hey guys,
Nov, 2012== request to update information
Feb, 2013== medical request..
Late feb, 2013== medical done and sent the letter of undergoing the medical by email.
Today== I received A letter from the embassy as a reply to the medical receipt sent in late feb.
The letter is
Kindly note that your application is in queue for assessment by an
officer. No further action is required by you at this time.
Our office will contact you when a decision has been made or if further
information is required.
does this letter means that the medical results have been received from France??? Should I expect ppr soon ???
Thanx guys and all replies would be highly appreciated

lol

Whether it was an application process or medical they always generate the same email. this means that your medical exams, in addition to the updated documents are in queue to be viewed by the VO, if everything is complete then they will contact you to show up with your passport for visa stamping. you should only question 1 thing, how many files are in the queue? Since they're not accepting new applicants and the backlog has been reduced by 40% then expect to hear good news in no time. Best of luck!
