After hearing and reading all this pessimism about the job market in Quebec and Canada.
What if it is true?
what if we don't find a Job?
Is it worth it leaving the security of your actual life in order to live in Canada for unsure results?
Is it worth leaving your loved ones? your Job? your friends?

I've heard that health care is a real nightmare in Canada, you need to take an appointment 3 to 4 months prior. tayeb what if i am sick now?

A real Dilemma,

Your thoughts ladies and gentlemen?
it wont as easy as here.. jobs are competitive and it will be more when you are immigrant. Different system, your degrees must be recognized, you need to volunteer, and most importantly networking, researching alot before going, in my opinion if you are a person whos living in a cushion environment in your home country it will be very hard to be happy in canada unlesss you open your mind and you know that its not as simple as writing a cv .. and applying like here in beirut.. (shu maken) its not only about health care, i think its the least you can worry about..

What I am saying is that it is not the first article i have read concerning the lack of jobs even if u are qualified and super active. In addition Canadians are protesting that immigrants are taking their jobs. Besides we work hard in our home country, one of the differences is that there you don't have the support.

its true I share such info, but I am too optimistic, we can survive easily,
though many told me different stories,

actually after 4 weeks my csq interview, but I have got several phone interviews from quebec,
but they asked for CSQ,

I have 10 years experience in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in very big multinational companies , big companies ,90,000+ employees.
I have my degree equivalence in Quebec, try to doing it, wil make it easy for you.

there is nothing worst than liban :)

Canadians doesn't want to work, they consider themselves white people they don't work, they are lazy, just put blame on others.

dear they doesn't study, they take us immigrants because they have lack in our professions,

what I am worry about, their government might stop help for non employed to force them to work, as the plan is going on in Europe

thats not true.. maybe because they have huge land and not many people?? massalan? or maybe they have too many uneducated immigrants. if you see the issue from their perspective, i say they are right.. i mean we have different educational system here, different work ethics, work hours, mentality etc.. so its not easy to hire immigrants and if your gunna pay like 50-60k per year for an educated immigrant well its a big responsibility since ok im paying you what 4k per month and u need to learn from zero.. (not all professions.. but in most) thats y now the new fsw program, they are requiring to assess your degree before applying.. cse it makes huge difference

It is true that the Canadian job market isn't the best right now, but it's like this world wide. I think if you search hard enough, and have an open mind to moving around within Canada/Quebec and especially having an open mind about working in different fields, then you will be able to find a job. To be honest, most people I know (including myself) are not working in their fields, but as aslong as you have a degree you should be fine, provided it has the same requierments in Canada. I suggest to have your education compared.

As for Health Care, it's true that it's not the best it can be, due to cuts and not enough doctors. However, you are still able to see a doctor when you're sick. Theres lots of walk in clinics you can go to, if you don't have a regular doctor. The hardest part is finding a doctor, but again, you have to look hard enough and call every office to see who's accepting new patients. Don't rely on the governement to find you a doctor. I've been on a waiting list with the government for 2 years, yet I was able to find 2 doctors on my own during this time. The wait time you are reffering too for specialist not regular doctors.

I totally agree. The fastest way is to look around clinics, fill in the patient form and they'll assign you a doctor.. It doesn't take too long cause for every area there's an assigned clinic. In case of emergency any hospital can take you in.

Hey guys

I am new here, I liked the comments in this forum...
After I forgot Canada and I was planing to study in New zealand and get a guaranteed New Zealand permanant residency after 16 months of studying in NZ.
The Canadian embassy in Beirut requested me to update my information in Nov 2012. And then to do the med in feb 2013. That's why I changed my mind for NZ.

So, How long do you think it will take till ppr? Is there any chance for not having ppr? Then try again NZ

If you did then expect a period of 3 months after the medical to be notified to update some documents and then you'll be called to submit your passport for visa stamping.
