This is exactly why I asked you the question. Excuse me for saying this but, Li bi3edd l 3ose mech metel Li 3am yekeloun. You are basically Canadian, you won't know the feeling of waiting 4 years for an immigration and nothing yet

Limassol is not Montreal or London or Paris. But at least a place where there is no war and it's better than Lebanon for sure. I have a good position in a very stable company. So I don't know if quitting everything and going to canada is a good idea at this age especially that my luck is worse than the coyote :P

As for the Lebanese coming from Canada to Lebanon, I haven't heard such thing. But what I heard is that some lebanese are going back to the gulf to earn much more. Personnally I won't go to the gulf bur just saying what I am hearing

I may be living in Canada and considered a Canadian...but I've been waiting 3 years for my fiance's immigration paper...so I do understand what you are going through...since I am going through it with him. It's not easy...I know. As far as the job market...it's true, people are being laid off....but they are laying off those who are ready to retire. It also depends from city to city...I am in ottawa...so most people being laid off are government workers over the age of 55.

I cant wait to leave, last 5 years stay in leb have been nothing but a loss on several levels and several punches in the face...

Well moving to Canada is not for collecting money "as far as I imagine it". It's moving to a more civilized society where I want to spend the rest of my life, get marry, and to grow up my kids in it; Where most of the people are more open minded, less religious, less superficial, more practical, and more multicultural… If I have to study and work in order to be a part of building a country, so better for me to do that on a land that might has a place for me “middle east doesn’t have a place for poor educated active young people specially if they adore obeying the law)… By the way my name is Mike, I’m 29 years old, I presented my CSQ in the 18th of October 2010 in Damascus, I’m Syrian so my documents are in the sleeping Amman office. I have been Waiting for a long time exactly as you people have been doing for your medicals, but focusing on my work and trusting the Canadian team at the embassy made the waiting mission much easier… simply, when my documents are ready they will call or email me, so why to think about that??? Get occupied with enriching your life with good new experiences, and the waited day will come, oh it will come… Amen. May God save all countries and all nations regardless their religions/football teams, colors or political parties. Peace. =)

We all want that, I'm not looking to make a lot of money in Montreal just looking forward for a good life for me and my future family, a place where the individual can live decently. But the thing is that we are getting older and nothing so far. I've been trying to go to Canada since 2008. I was accepted in the MBA program of Concordia but my visa got refused, then I applied for immigration. I am very eager to go to Montreal but at the same time I am realistic. Our chances of building a good life from scratch Is diminishing with time. Life is passing by while we are doing grand plans for it. We have nothing so far no Medicals, no visa on passport , nothing... Not even a fkn email asking us to update our fkn info...

Hello and Welcome onboard Zilar, please do have a seat

Thanks for your welcoming attitude Lmastory,Moon..i really appreciated it.

Yes i have a friend who just made ,from 2 week ,the interview for his CSQ in istanbul ,and the employee proceeding the interview assured him that the canadian federal part is going again on track since the jan of 2013 after the well known 1 entire year of "pause" since the feb of 2012!!
I asked my representative office about the credibility of such informations and it appear it is credible.but of course we hope everything stay calm in our country so the embassy keep working on files without new pauses and delays...

And don't forget to buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride full of blood, sweat, and tears. So grab some pills Cz you are going to need them and enjoy the journey, it's going to be a very long one. Be advised that you will Hear rumours from our beloved friends in the forum almost every week. So don't get any heart attacks if a member writes "Holly sh!t!! My friend at the embassy told me that they deleted our files and banned us from going to Canada!!" it is only a false alert. If you have a weak heart strong pills are preferrable. And a quick brief introduction to our friends. Lemans will tell you not to go and will advise you to go to Qatar to get rich and Canada is the worst place on earth. Ricoluna is like an immigration lawyer she knows everything, she is not charging money till now but she might start in the future :P. Moon is a sweetheart, and Anthony remembers us once per month and drops to say hello. YMA made the Medicals a year ago and still waiting for her visa. I think they forgot about her or something (just kidding). Randski is our hero and hope, she was the first one to get a visa in our thread of misery, I am still reminding her that I'm single :D. and the old wise Lmastory who is the godfather of the forum. And finally me at your service.

Ps: sorry if I forgot anyone

they told me about someone friend of my friend, he had his medical, then they cancelled his file, the reason his profession not anymore required.

I believe it federal not Quebec, but hope that doesnt happen to anyone,
