no I don't know much about his ecas, btw even the in process doesn't say much, some people get in process for only 2 months then get the PPR, other people had in process for more than 7 months and still no news..

maybe there is really a security check office and there is where our files are getting lost or stacked , it is where they finish a file in few weeks or they draw on them for a few months..

I met someone yesterday who got his Permanent Residency to Australia in exactly 5 months from the date he submitted his application. He has done it through a lawyer though who charged him USD 8000.

5 months gents, 5 months - not years.

This is in Abu Dhabi.

we are at the end of the trip to Canada now, but if I had better idea about the length of process I would apply to Australia.. I would get Australian passport while I am still waiting only for the Canadian visa!!!

you can take the 10k with you without any issue

WAITING FOR THE VISA .... I'm hoping to get out by July but expecting delays until September - November. Nic.
