i have a friend who is federal dec 2012, he sent his medicals in sep 2013 and it shows in process since 14 feb 2014, they were not on a holiday on valentine poor them, hopefully the previous process files since last year get done soon..

The Current Processing time from Bucharest Visa office is 12 Months. is that from the time they receive your medicals, or the time your file was transferred?

I think it's safe to say that there's no real answer to this question. Are the Lebanese files being treated differently? The same? Who knows really....so we just need to wait.

I want to share some info according to my experience,

Once they start working of your file after MEDS you will see a new line , IN PROCESS in xx xx xxxx (date)

maybe at this stage they start security check or security complete and they start processing visa.

I heard that secuirty check starts once your file is transferred to visa office, but no idea how they are processing files transferred to bucarest

walla ya Canadian citizen, ana sort mi2tini3 ino nihna ma ilna 3ale2a b time bucharest,12 months,nihna beirut to bucharest 47 months,ya3ni maslan ana they started processing b jan 2011...saro shi 38 months....so akid msh 12 months,w 7atta law bdi 3edd mn lamma it was transfered to bucahrest feb 2012,bidallo 24 months...so osset l 12 ma 3am tfout bi rasi b2a..

I think they are delaying our applications on purpose,but for what reason?.

not meaning to discourage you, security checks might be a prolonged process if it has been kicked off after MR's.

In my case, it has been a year now from MR's (timeline as posted in my signature). In other cases it might take 2-3months, it really depends on many factors (mainly number of countries you have lived in for more than 6 months). this process is based on FSW, not so sure if QSW process differs from it?

hassan I only lived in lebanon . only travelled for few days only. and still waiting ...

Different visa office and different type of visa cant be compared, hopefully soon we all have some good news, btw warsaw used to be the fastest VO before it sank in backlogs too..

Dear Friends
Just to let u know that the embassy sent me an email from a while asking me to send by fax or by email a copy of my passport!!
I hope it will be a good sign w nchalla this month the visas start raining in our thread!!
what do you think???
