Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

Guys its good to join the discussion. I am also an applicant whose file was moved from Damascus to Beirut and then Bucharest. I agree with Tarek, this is the reason for the delay. I recently read an article about how much immigrants Canada still needs as they have an ageing population. As for the 8 months period to receive the visa after medicals, this is what my lawyer told me and he is one of the best certified immigration lawyers in Canada.

100 %. Hopefully this year we will all receive the visas. I have a feeling that they will come all at once in bunches and in an interval of 2 to 3 months, just as the medicals did.

I agree with you. However, I think because the conservatives are in power, it has delayed from the beginning. Historically, conservatives are not really fond of immigration. I'm sure if it was a liberal party ruling, applications would have been processed before the war in Syria even broke out. When my fiancé first applied, the processing time was only 17 months!

ECAS problem seems their webserver services must be restarted wait for tomorrow night

last year Jan 2013 applicants got visas on dec 2013 ---11 months ---

for me I completed 8 months and yet nothing. seems they are sleeping again

anyways i got increment and bonus. i am loosing hope to go to canada, how long we will live more, we already lived half of our life and it passed quickly
the rest will pass quickly too ;D

I renew my visa in UAE medical and visas within 3-4 days

I will start making plans to go back to lebanon... for me it will be better than canada

As nobody on this forum got the visa yet, it means they are working on them just like the medicals, the visas will come in a bunch....


I am sure the first person to receive and the rest will also receive in an interval of one to two months later...

I think this is the way they work. They cannot work on each case separately as it will take ages...
