i have many friends from uae immgrated to canada, and landed, some were federal and moved to montreal and some were quebec and moved to federal.

they advice me to save money because once i move to canada i cant save 1 cent

First five years maybe yes , but you will live in calmness and relaxation and ur children will be happy
but then after this period you'll sure have a good job or you'll make your own business
I know people living in Canada , starting there working in a restaurant and now they have min 100000.00 savings and they bought a house , Lebanese are sly

I have a question concerning the visa fees (490$ CAD), did anyone tried to pay it using the CIC online method and got refused by Bucharest? the issue is that I paid it using the online method since October and I still didn't get any response from Bucharest about if it's accepted or not. However, my friend has sent his file just a week ago and yesterday he got a reply from Bucharest that he needs to change the payment method as the online method is not accepted in Bucharest VO.

any idea? please help.

you know in Montreal DT if you reach b4 7am you pay 11$/day after 7 you pay 14$ , we are still nagging in uae

Becoming a Canadian or holder of any non-Arab passport is one among the best decisions that a person can make. It is not about money or about the beauty of the country. It's about opening a window of opportunity to your children and grandchildren to have a better quality of life. To be in a place where human beings are respected. In Lebanon or other places, you are respected for how much you have only. There is no law to protect your rights and the whole region is going backward... Only the ones who would think strategically would realize that Canada is the perfect place on the longer-run.

My immediate family in Lebanon employs 1000+ employees through a major & well known business - so what? They are not secure, can't predict tomorrow, unstable, one day economy up and 10 days down ... If this same business was run somewhere in Europe or USA, we would have became as large as KFC by now. Why didn't it happen? Because you don't have security and you don't have a government that supports businesses and operates to the benefits of the overall society. You may be happy in Lebanon only if being around your family is enough to satisfy you.

I have waited 3 years to get the CSQ - I am willing to wait another 3 years for the visa! Keep in mind that we should not be "waiting" but rather continuing our lives while "awaiting" the visa.

P.S. by end of December I will receive all the related police clearances from various countries and I got the AOR including file number. I will forward my security clearances to VO around end of Jan.

Hey LastMan, I got one from France. It took exactly 28 days to arrive. I put my address in Abu Dhabi and I got after 28 days from request. Yes not a problem at all, you can send you federal file without security clearance. It was confirmed to me few days ago from CIC that my file is complete and it has been forwarded to VO even though I sent it without security clearance - I included a letter though explaining that I have already requested them.

Hi not long time, maybe two weeks, you can ask it on their web site and mention how many copies you wan and they send it to u.
I did it one time before and they send it to me in Qatar in 15 days
