well the 14 months for Bucharest doesn't apply to us, which is good news. However, in the e-mail from them, it says "please do not contact us for the next 8 months, as we will be busy processing applications"...so is it possible the visa will take 8 months? My fiance's friend has been waiting for his visa for 6 months now :S

ohhh ok so they have said it it is gonna take 8 months, not a short wait but should be the maximum wait, still you have a clue..

You aor is dated end of January, mine is beginning of November, I don't think it will take too much time for you to hear some updates. I think they're processing December 2010 applicants now. Ur turn will come very soon.

Candian citizen's fiancé received his aor in May, mine in November, which makes it a 6 months difference. If u look at the medical, he received it by the end of April and I received it at the beginning of July, which makes it 2 months difference. Do an estimation and let's hope it works

I'm not an expert, but I think there's positive things in the notes, like file transfer, your new file number...so it means it's still in process. And the due date was 2 months ago, so I think you should hear something in the next couple of months.
What does your lawyer say? Also, please update your timeline in your profile.

All caips showing same info, all applications transferred from beirut same day and the due day is the same date. Even 2012 applicants :S
also security status is showing empty not, why?

After passing medicals and paying the Right of Permanent Residence fee (RPRF)

The normal reasons for delays after medical/RPRF are Canadian Security and Intelligence Service

(CSIS) security checks or processing errors. The CAIPS file will indicate if security checks have
been completed, and what other steps are outstanding if any.

Is the security check after medical?
If so, means all will get medical soon

according to GCMS security and criminality check start when the medicals are requested.. maybe that's why it is taking long time after medicals..

So basically, there's a "due date" or BFD for each category, like security check and medical each have a due date.

Dkayrouz, it seems your due date for medical is 2 months past, so you should hear something soon as csaade mentioned.

HIS due date is 2012 :S
as medical due date always shows 1 year after your application date,
cherif showing feb 2014 is 1 year after medical or <1 year, means cherif might get medical,

cherif if they will apply on you same as new applicants in abu dhabi vo , they receive medical 4-5 months from AOR date. you might get medical soon
