Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

as bucharest office never replied concerning sending the second email containing the medical instruction which they mentioned it in first email when they asked for update and landing fees.and considering there is some mistake in system to generate it and so as in theory as they sent the first email they are waiting the medical exam : so does my friend able to proceed her medical and sent it and the IMM form about medical can the person have it?

She can't do the medical without the e-mail because they send her IMM1017, this form is not available on CIC website.

Finally I got an e-maill from Bucharest office saying that my file was transferred from Beirut. Although I knew it from the caips files,but i guess now it is more official.

Dear Sir,

In the interest of better workload distribution, Citizenship and Immigration Canada has transferred your application for permanent residence to our office for further processing.
Your application is now in queue pending the review of a designated visa officer. Once the initial assessment is initiated you will receive a notification asking for updated forms and the completion of a medical examination.
Your reference number is now EP0xxxxx.Make sure to always quote your file number in all correspondence with our office.
For information on processing times please consult our website: ...


Does anyone knows when approx. I will receive a notification to update forms and to complete medical????How fast are they going in Bucharest??

The e-mail they sent you is different then the e-mail we received....so I am not sure when your application will be received. Are you a Quebec applicant? I am asking because your e-mail is an english. What;s your timeline?

The e-mail we received said almost the samething as you, but asked for updated documents. And a seperate e-mail for medical. However, my fiance's file has been in process since May 2010.

Why the 5 year gap? Anyway, I think if your a 2012 federal applicant, then your processing time might be the same as Bucharest, which is 14 months.

The gap is due to a fraudulent immigration consultant, where they put on hold all his applications for more then 3 years.
The 14 months period will start the day my application was transferred in Bucharest or the day I applied?

oh that sucks! Well at least you got your CSQ. That's why I don't trust consultants.

Well for us, the e-mail said they won't delay the file anymore. So I think, they might pick up from the date you applied. But you have to add a few extra months due to transfering and all the delays that happened. So I would say maybe 8 to 14 months. I am not expert, but it seems Bucharest will run much faster than Damascus or Beirut.
