Hi Jamal,

Just a heads up on the application process.
My application was returned today.

I am sponsoring my wife and her dependant child (11 y.o. boy).
There was a form I needed to send (IMM-5604 - Declaration from non-accompanying parent/guardian for minors immigrating to Canada).

The issue I had is that the document needs to be signed by his father in front of a witness (notary public)... BUT the notary in Brazil did not want to sign the document because it was NOTin portuguese.
What I did was: I translated the full document into portuguese, had the father sign it, had the notary sign it as well and I finally had the document translated (certified translation). Even though I made it clear that the specific translation was for the IMM5604, it was not accepted.

I tried to call immigration today but the lines were super busy. Will try to go in person tomorrow to see what option they give me to have this document accepted.

Regards,
Marcos

Ohh okay.
Try to go to another notary if you want.
Call in the early morning like 8:30 or 9:00 the wait will be shorter.
Hopefully everything will be fixed
Best of luck

February 20th or so. I haven't heard of anyone getting AOR for applications delivered after January, and it scares me.

To what office you sent your application for processing for Quebec? If it is Sydney like the rest so since Mid March things are moving so slow almost all March, April and May did not receive the AOR.

It's a little unclear? We received two letters asking us to apply to the CSQ, the first said Sydney, the second said Mississauga. I have to assume that the latest one, Mississauga, is correct.

Besides, I am asking about MIFI AOR, from Quebec, not the CPCS one. That shouldn't really depend on where our federal application is being processed.

I have called them on Monday and they told me they are in mid February now so hopefully soon we will receive the AOR

I called MIFI today. March 2nd applicant for CSQ. They opened my file on June 29th. And they are yet to charge the money. Not sure when we will receive CSQ. Those guys are looking at december applicants(Not sure if it means the date they submitted csq or the AOR date). Fingers crossed. Atleast my file in their office.
