I have the same question. We reached Medical request stage without CSQ which will take 4-5 months to process. How come it won't affect our application
As Pryncess99 said, the SA letter, the first one which tells you which VO your application is being sent to, tells you to submit the documents for the CSQ.

You need this letter as part of the CSQ application. You should search your e-mail for this pdf if you haven't saved it yet. You should be able to search for it in your inbox with the terms "CPCS Client Notification". You're supposed to get this e-mail before AOR2 so if you haven't received it you'll want to contact IRCC.

It should look like this and it tells you where to go to :

So you are saying that they reached the dec CSQ applications although it still says August on their website?
I’m talking about application received not CSQ. So they are opening the envelopes of those who sent their application in December

Hi guys,
My wife sponsorship application was delivered to Quebec immigration on December 17th, but my credit card has not been charged yet and I have not received any email as confirmation that they are processing the application. Is this normal?

Took me about two weeks to get the AOR from Quebec and then they charged my credit card. You might have to experience greater delays since I assume they were closed for at least two weeks during the holidays... you should get you AOR soon.

Same here. So I think that since the Federal says: your application with be processed within 12 months (they allow themselves some buffer ...) , Quebec says: although we are experiencing greater delays, this won’t lead your total waiting time to MORE than the 12 months the Federal told you (at least that what I understand). Obviously, instead of taking 3-4 months for the whole process for other provinces, people applying in Quebec will wait longer (7-8-9 months overall) since the federal doesn’t process your file for as long as Quebec haven’t issues CSQ.
Now the real struggle is, I’ve heard that medical is valid for 6 months. That means, you have to check-in in Canada or Flagpole INSIDE that 6 months delays. Assuming that Quebec take 5 months ish right now to process files plus the couple of weeks that Fed Govt needs to finalize stuff, this means most of us will have to take a very last minute flight to Canada OR redo the medical (which I hope not because it cost us about 300€...)

i should specify here that we submitted medical about the same week that we received MIDIs AOR. That’s why I’m counting 5 months from this moment on.

Medical is valid for a year I'm pretty sure

Yes it is. Mine was delivered December 10 and only three days ago they had it in their system. My credit card hasn’t been charged yet. I’m still trying to figure out which date they consider so I would know what to expect according to the timeline on their website.
