Thank you Ricoluna, Want to ask if they are really processing our applications in Montreal instead of Damascus because of the situation in Syria?

If yes will it delay the processing ?? Are there any medicals being sent from recently ??? what is the average wait until we receive the medicals?

Dear Ricoluna
Well i have little confusion here following is my points how the agent counted
Education Master Degree in Computer Science 12 Points
Area of training category C as per 06 Points
Experience
CRC Analyst in Airlne from April 2005 till 2010 Aug 08 Points
Age 14 Points
Childern I have four childern 08 Points
Language English (I did not send any result) 06 Points
French 00 Points
Spouse Age+Education 04 Points
Finance 01 Point
Total 59 Points
Then i sent Level-1 result from AF 02 Points
Total 61 Points

this is how i calculated. please check if i shall get 6 points of area of traning as area of training is C for computer scienc and i am working as analyst in an airline.
Moreover i filled Quebec official website eveluation forms 3 times and each time it says i qualify for the QSW.
And agent also calculated my points same way but i applied by mself due i could not settle his fee.
I am planning to take A1 course in december but do think so far i shall get 2 points for level-1 course only. i can communicate easily now in french as i am practicing at home. Plus i had student visa of Montreal that i could not avail for stuy but it is fact that i got montreal visa for two years and i hope it will benefit me. can you please tell where do i stand now. with all the above details;.

Hello All,

I know waiting is killing us...but we all must have patience ...
I am sharing the same prob of the e-cas...I couldn't check the status of my file since two ago...
As I knew from my lawyer, that waiting time would also increase more then 20 months...because the embassy is working at the lowest level due to the situation in Syria.
I received my AOR of PR process on 6/04/2011...And I know that I am on the first mile of 1000 miles road!!!

So lets all have patience because there is nothing else to do ;)

Hello there,
I have calculated again ur points and yes he's right u get 61 points without adaptability..
Now about Domaine de formation u get 6 points if u have a diploma that u obtained in past 5 years which is not ur case, OR if u have work experience (over 1 year) directly related with ur diploma : in ur case Computer Science and Analyst Airline, so u get the 6 points...I see that ur wife too has no points at all for french....
But anyway u have a good file, no worries, if u and ur wife knew some french i think you could be exempt from an interview....but no problem with or without i am sure u'll soon have ur CSQ.
Best regards,

Hi Seniors

in question 11.1 in the application for selection certificate, "are you submitting the results of a french test with your application"

1. how do you answer this question if I have not taken the DELF test but am intending to take the exam after I have submitted my application?

2. in the beginner there is a box 1,2,3,4 - what number should I tick/select? am not sure how to grade myself yet because i'm still in the beginners class in AF

thanks for your help

Hello and welcome between us,
Regarding ur questions: u are not obliged to send any proof of french with ur application, and ur answer will be NO, u can send later, before ur interview a proof of french exam, i recommend u not to take DELF as is more complex, u can take the exam TCF pour Quebec, are only 2 exams( one u have to answer questions about what u understood from a CD, and second is conversation, they ask u 6 questions). In DELF u have 4 exams, so no DELF for Quebec is recommended.also in TCF por Quebec u have the chance to obtain more than u have planed, if u obtain A2 for listening and A1 for oral...this can bring u more points.
For ur second question : the points in french are attributed as follow:

Niveaux 1 à 4 pour débutant;
-
Niveaux 5 à 8 pour intermédiaire;
-
Niveaux 9 à 12 pour avancé.

So in ur case if u choose to tell them u are level 1 or level 2 u will receive 2 points only ( 1 pct for listening and 1 point for speaking )
If u chose level 3 or 4 u will receive 6 points ( 3 pct for listening and 3 points for speaking )
Level 1 or 2 MEANS A1
Level 3 or 4 means A2
If for example in TCF POUR QUEBEC u will obtain level A2 for listening and A1 for speaking than u will gain 4 points ( 3 for listening ad 1 for speaking ), for this i a telling u is better to take this exam.In DELF ur result will be fix, u make DELF A1, u will have 2 points only.
U get my point ?
If ur file is good and u have enough points than chose for french level 2.If u need points than chose level 3 and prepare for this test, u can do it, is not hard at all.
Good luck and keep in touch.

Dear RICULONA

I saw your good advice to sexydude for french.

As you knnow my case as well and counted my points. Yesterday i callced Alliance Francaise to take A1 which is going to take place in December 08. My current status is that my speaking is rather better than listening but i am good in reading as well. I have done only Level-1 so far from AF.

Which course do you suggest me. DELF-A1 or TCF that will give me more points.
Please note i have not done Leve-2 or 3 or 4 do you think TCF is easy even with the current level?

regards

Mazhar

Dear RICULONA

I just called Alliance Francaise to know the date and they told me that they dont have TCF rather they have TEF exam which will take place on 29Sep this year do you think this is good and it can be done after Level-1 study?

Hello Mazhar,

Where do u live, which country? Is impossible not to have TCF for Quebec, anywhere in the world they have it and the exams are each end of the month...
I really recomand u this test, is more easier, for Comprehension part they give u a booklet with 30 questions and photos while u are listening to a CD, is really easy , u can get good points at this part. The second part where u are having a conversation, the lady is asking u questions u have to answer....present urself what are u doing in life, married or not and this is level A1...after she asked me what i wear if is cold outside...how do i dress...and if u answer u get A2 level, ..after u must put her questions...she told me to imagine that i wanna move and i need her help and some advices and i must ask her questions, so i started to ask about Montreal...how is life there, weather, schools...here u get B1 level....and so on..... so I belive u guys can do it...as i told u if u take the DELF u already know the result A1 and u get 2 points..but at TCF quebec u have the chance to obtain better.Good luck and keep in touch

Anthony,

We have almost the same case, tried today to check my status but again no sign, as if it never existed...

Did you consult your lawyer if this is something that usually happens?

DEAR ALL

TODAY I SEND FOLLOWING EMAIL TO WEBMASTER OF CIC:

Quote

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a permanent Canadian visa applicant received my file no. on 3rd march 2011.

Its more or less a month that application status page of CIC web site is not showing my status after I put my information into it while before it was working properly! it seems some other applicants are also experiencing same problem which for some of them the problem is already solved.

I would like to inform you about this and request you to check the matter with your technical team.

Thanks for your always supports in advance.

Yours Sincerely
