Hi,,
I've called the embassy in damascus, but they informed me that they can't expect the final time , anyhow do you kow anyone got the medical recently ?

regards

when did you call them? cause they haven't been answering calls lately, i was referring to the CIC call center in canada, no i have not heard of anyone getting their medicals within the last 3 months but according to the timeframe posted on cic website for damascus 80% of cases are finalized within 19 months including the visa, so if you do the math medicals should have arrived within not more than 15 months give or take 4 months for the checkup and the visa, something's not right and hopefully it won't have anything to do with libanpost cause they have been delivering my mails randomly to other addresses in the area, might be worth to check if you get a confirmation that a mail has been sent to you

cheers,

A friend of mine got his medical after 19 month. It happened last week.

Good luck everyone...

Hi Fadi & Lmastory,

2 friends of mine got their medical recently, one in June... the other one this month (July)... they got it after 11 months in the fedral process. They applied in Cairo.

best wishes

Hello everybody,,

akramsam
As I know, the process in cairo is faster than it's in Damascus.,

but it's good to hear from wdOnCanada that someone has received the medical last week .

Lmastory , I think we can't do anything but waiting , because our files are in process in the embassy of Damascus, so no binifit to contact other offices.,

And I hope to everybody to get CSQ and Medical veeeery soooon .

best wishes.

Hello guys..

How are you all?!
Any good news for anyone of you?! Invitation to interview..MR..or even AOR?!

The guys who are expecting to be in Egypt's next mission should have received their invitation by now.

Best of luck for everybody.

Hello everyone,

My agent advised me that I can apply through Quebec migrant program though I do not have any knowledge of French, what she is saying is that I can join the French classes and add the proof of joining the classes with the application and by the time I would actually migrate, I may have the basic knowledge at least. She says this would work. Please advise whether I can take this path without ending up in something that is very untoward at the end.

Sure u can do it, when i applied 1 yea ago i knew no french, but i enrolled immediatly in Aliance Francaise and i was taking private lessons too, after 1 year when i had the exam TCF por Quebec i obtained C1/B2 which means in application 14 points from 16!!! So u can do it, but u have to study.French is nice and easy.Good luck

Thank you for that inspiring comment..
One question, does this mean that I've to study the language for 1 year, take that test you mentioned, and then apply?
Or can I enroll for the classes and immediately apply; pass the test before I actually enter Quebec?

U can send ur applicaion for Quebec immediatly, than u can enroll for french classes. Before u have the interview, this will take around 1 year , u can have the french exam, or if they don't ask it from u u can go directly to interview wher they will test ur french.
Good luck

News Update to those awaiting their medicals, just received a reply from the embassy in damascus stating:
"We are now processing applications received prior to January 2010. Only once your application has passed the background screening stage will medical instructions be issued"

I hope this info grants mind peace to some. tho m not sure what it exactly means, does it mean that applications received after Jan 2010 have not yet entered the background check phase? what is your opinion everyone ?

cheers,

I'm glad i found this forum, AOR Jan 6 2010 , and till now i haven't heard a word.
