Thanks for ur msg, I just noticed it now.. my be I mixed it with other msgs and I didn't notice it b4. Hmmm, anyways, I went through the link u mentioned.. it is the first time for me to see this one, may be coz I usually search the English links...
Well, it is clear, but i don't think it will apply for me coz I submitted my application on Oct. 2010.. I believe they work now on applications submitted on or before June 2010, but I'm getting prepared anyway. WHEN DID U SUBMIT UR APPLICATION???

By the way, I have some questions which usually are being asked during the interview, I believe it will be very useful & helpful for all. I'll post it very soon.

Hello Akram, yes they are still working on application received before July 2010, but they are so lazyy , i've sent my application in the first week of august, and look nothing till today.I only get my file number, no supplementary requests , nothing.But meanwhile i sent them the original university diploma as well as the grades for all years, prove of French level the TCF, and also some documents that we have relatives in Montreal(my husband's sister).Nothing till now....
and when i think that after we get the CSQ we have to wait minimum one more year for the medicals and visa....
But we can do nothing, hoping, praying, learning and waiting for the interview questions u are going to post ...

Hello Medo, no news till now, i even asked my lawyer and he knows nothing.... , i asked him if is possible to have our interviews in Alexandria and he told me that he doesn't think is possible....i don't know any more..next month i will have 1 year since i send the DCS, u too i suppose...
I don't remember did u send them any proof of french ? MAybe we will receive directly the CSQ....

Did your lawyer tell you that they maybe issue CSQ without interview or you think so ? :'(

For me it's not normal ) but for them it seems that that's not problem...19 month it's much...u should have received ur medicals...MAYBE UR CORESPONDENCE IS LOST??? send them an emal, or call and ask..Good Luck

I've tried to call Quebec's office in Damascus to get my file number as i told u before, only the answer machine as usual !! they told me they can't receive voice calls and if i have an issue i have to send a fax so i did already yesterday and I'm waiting for a response. i don't know what to do if they didn't answer.

Have u tried to send then an email too? or to call Montreal offices?

It is strange for me that there is no answer from the Embassy in Syria!!! but, u did ur best ... now wait, pray and relax.. its all in God's hand.

By the way I have a friend in Egypt who got his CSQ a week ago. He applied on June 2010, and He got his interview phone call on April 2011.
he just passed his interview on June 28th, 2011 in Cairo, I believe there will not be that much delay, as we were expecting.


A friend of mine who deals with a lawyer, his lawyer told him that the "file number" is not the critical issue, but the time factor and being ready & prepared for the interview.
His lawyer also told him that there are MAAAAANY applicants who r not receiving their file numbers, but, that doesn't mean they havn't got one, it is most likely, the embassy sent it to them (you as well) and just has been lost in the Mail.

So, just get ready and pleeeeeeease relax... u will be called for interview within 10-12 months from the day u sent ur application... this is the most expected scenario.

Review this link; hope it would be of some help to u... It is the official evaluation test for the Quebec immigration. It is in the official site for the Quebec government, and it is specifically for evaluating ur chances to be selected to immigrate to Quebec according to ur profile & their laws.
at the end of the test it will provide u with the proper answer about ur case ... (whether u will be accepted or not if you applied to immigrate).
it is the closest thing to reality, according to their laws.

Akram, i have been trying to catch someone on the phone for nearly a month, was costly and still i get answering machines, email sent as well around 43 days ago, no reply either....
