Hey guys, while preparing for the interview, I am in the process of calculating my points just to see where I currently stand. Whereas I was able to calculate everything else, I was unable to determine how many points I will earn on French & English...

Can someone confirm to me please that the tables showed on the following website are correct/reasonable?

Did you do ILETS? if no, all applicants from UAE including me got 6 points for English, since business language is English but if the officer doesn't like you :P can give you 4 points you cant say anything, that's why better to support all points by documents.

Also for your education its 10 but he can give 6 points since you don't have equivalence for your degree, but don't worry about these

What is your age? Working experience?

So you can consider

Age 16
Education 10
AOT 6
Experience 8
Financial 1
English 6
French 8
adaptability 1 (minimum given)

These are 56 points,, you need 7 points more to 63 from your wife.
Did you wife do French test? if no she gets 0, let her practice some French, because the interviewer will speak with her French, at least what do you want to do in quebec what do you work etc how ull get job in quebec.

so 56 points
spouse age 3 points
Spouse AOT 1 points ( worst) but what is her profession? does she work?
spouse degree 3 points for BS degree

These are 63 points depends on your spouse, so no need to worry , youll get the CSQ
unless her AOT =0 then bit risky but don't worry

Age 16 => you got it!
Education 10 12 (I have Masters)
AOT 6 ==>> correctos
Experience 8 ==>> good guess!
Financial 1 ==>> hell yes
English 6 ==>> I have EILTS and all above 7 score
French 8 ==>> I don't about that ... I scored B1 in all .. let's say 7?
adaptability 1 (minimum given)

These are 56 points 57 points,, you need 7 points more to 63 from your wife.
Did you wife do French test? Yes she did in 2010 (time of submitting my application and before we even met!!! she did it for her Masters in France - i hope that they will accept it) and she scored B1 in all! I said that she gets 4 points? if no she gets 0, let her practice some French, because the interviewer will speak with her French, at least what do you want to do in quebec what do you work etc how ull get job in quebec.

so 56 points 58
spouse age 3 points yes
Spouse AOT 1 points believe it or not it's 0! ( worst) but what is her profession? does she work?
spouse degree 3 points for BS degree

These are 63 67 points depends on your spouse, so no need to worry , youll get the CSQ
unless her AOT =0 then bit risky but don't worry

I am crossing fingers big time that they accept the French test of my wife from 2010. On the website they say that the language test should have been taken during the last two years from the date of submitting the application and I am considered 2010 applicant so they should accept it! Unless they consider that my wife has submitted her file in 2013 and so he French test should be at least 2011 ... Tricky! In all cases, we'll aim to get more on the adaptability ...

By the way .... my previous job was in Kuwait and I am UNABLE to retrieve 4-5 years old payslip, what should I do?

Cheers,
Patient

For ilets above 7 its intermédiaire is 4 points so hide it dont show it . The worst u get 4 and asvi told u he will give u 6 even will not talk with u single word in english
With the masters you will b back 56 pointz if u insist to take with u the ilets.

French 100% 8 points since new rules will not b aplied on u.
Spouse they give max 3 points education.
Spouse french may give her. He shoud give her even with no tcf
Age 3 points.

Khalas dont worry its gonna b headache ull get it

no need for payslips from Kuwait, you only need the visa on your passport is proof, you still have your old passport or the visas on current?
you need 1st 3 months and last month payslip from your current work.

make sure you proof your working experience, they are too strict, there was some1 Syrian wasn't able to get working experience and got refused

Hi lemans,

I have applied on 13 march 2011.

Hi
I have also applied on march 30th 2011 and received my AOR on 18th July 2011.
What do u think when I should be called?

I have applied with my family. Wife + 3 kids(age 9-5)
Me n my wife both are BS computer science.
I have 10+ years of experience.
French results for tcfq for me were a1 listening. But didn't pass speaking cuz of no preparation n wrk pressure
My wife got a2/a2.
Results submitted.
I will appreciate if someone can calculate my points.
And if we are called for interview will kids be interviewed too in French. Any ideas?
Any ideas if there are many may- June applicants who receive their AOR in that period.
Thanks n Regards

good you took the exam, mabruk,
officers most of the time asking applicants to do tcfq and send results then they send csq by email

So now If I want to Calculate my points .. It would be (According to the Expert Lemans207 :P ;))

-Education = BS In Computer Science = 10 Points
-Area of Training = Computer Science (3 years outside Quebec) = 6 Points
-Work Experience = 5 Years (System Administrator + Technical Support Engineer + Quality Assurance Engineer) = 8 Points
-Age = 29 = 16 Points
-Language Proficiency = French (B2/B1) = 10 Points
Englich (-) = 4 Points (I hope 6)
-Financial Self-Sufficiency = 1 Point

So the TOTAL would be WITHOUT Adaptability = 55 ;D ;D
And let's say I get 2 or 3 points for Adaptability then the TOTAL would be = 57/58 ;D ;D

I should pass this nightmare LOL .. Waiting ...
Peace Fellas.

Hope ull get it
If you want to grant 10 points for ur degree you must do equivalence otherwise he can give you 6 points.

Also as they said new rules are applied on language everythinge below b2 is 0 points.

But its for applicants after dec 2011
